Loses to Central Michigan, this is a down year in the Big 10.
Why is it a down year? Is it because the "named" programs are not winning? The conference is about the same, except the teams on top are the teams people have become accustomed to being in the middle or bottom of the B1G. Those teams are now stronger and better programs.

@fluoxetine posted like 6 different metrics of rankings and the B1G is second in all of them

Down I guess since it should be the #1 conference

The B1G Ten has less star players this season which has impacted many teams except for Purdue.

Iowa got slapped by Neb, Ill lost a game to a team they shouldn't, Ohio St is starting a bunch of freshmen and are very beatable, Mich isn't anywhere near as good as usual, Ind is overrated, I think this is a down year for Wisc and Mich St is very beatable.

Results so far say Wisconsin is already better than last year..ditto for Michigan State

Nebraska was rancid last year. Now they could be 9th or 10th in league

Penn State, Northwestern, Nebraska all better than expected.
Penn State a lot better than expected. Northwestern ‘s defense is way better than expected and Nebraska is a ton better than expected. 3 tougher road wins to get. But Iowa, Michigan , Illinois , Michigan State , Indiana are not as good as media or a lot of people thought they were. Wisconsin and Ohio State are not better than Rutgers . Purdue almost by default has been placed above Rutgers .

This conference lacks the NBA sophomore and freshman talent that fled that would have made Iowa , Purdue , Wisconsin , or Ohio State or Michigan much more difficult to win. It is ripe for Rutgers.

Incredible Indiana is still ranked in the top 20, injuries have certainly been a factot of late. Geo was on the money “nobody is afraid of Indiana” nor should they be.
