All things considered, have to be content only down 6. That foul call was brutal. Gene was set and in position for a charge.

You change the logos on the front of the jersey and that's a charge every day of the week bac. What are you talking about?

We are right in this game despite getting getting a heavy home whistle against us.

dude it wasnt a charge...he was outside the circle and his foot was moving. Did you see the replay...the announcer said it as well

How good would we be if we had one shooter?! It's crazy to think about.
Most winning teams have at least 3 consistent shooters.Once again Rutgers is playing tough defense but the woeful offense has the team behind 27-21 at half time.

We have 0 assists and 8 turnovers at the half. You wont win ball games like that. But this has been frustrating considering most of the fouls called on us have been cheap reaches or loose ball fouls (save maybe 1 shooting foul)

That's the toughest I've seen anyone play defense on RU in a while. They are determined to take Geo and Corey out of the game and its working.

seriously way too loose with the ball today....and way too much one on one (again). guards getting double teamed and stuck...

if they can somehow get back to movement and sharing the ball with GOOD passes..we are in this.

Michigan is aggressively trapping and we have no idea what to do. Should be quickly moving the ball before the trap get there and make them pay

Looked at the replay again. Gene did not move his foot. He only went up on his toes.

but what is encouraging is that despite the woes on offense, the defense has been very solid. Michigan got like 10 point off of turnovers....when RU is playing them straight up they are struggling to knock down shots. Unfortunately RU isnt getting alot of transition buckets that they need. And even as RU got some shots in the last few minutes, alot of them were one on one type of things and not from running our offense

but yeah Michigan is a great defensive team so give them credit as to why we look in some disarray

Play by play guy said it wasn't an aesthetically pleasing game and that Rutgers often muddies things up. What an asinine way to describe good defense.

yes and look at when he set himself. the rule changed a year or 2 ago that reinforced a guy has to be set BEFORE the player goes up with the shot so as not to "submarine" the player. that is why he didn't get the call (IMO)..not because he wasn't set. because he wasn't set in time.

and what was wrong with that statement...it was truly ugly on offense and thats a description used for most teams play solid D

Has Freeman ever taken a charge? Twice in this game he was in perfect position to take the charge, and twice he just stepped away instead of holding his ground.

Omoruyi needs to give the team lessons this offseason. He clearly knows what he's doing, and the rest of the team needs to learn from him.

You are correct. I was wrong. I watched it again and did not notice that his trail foot was not set. His left foot was set before the shooter went into the air. Very close call but unfortunately the right one by the referee.

Geo needs to get that rebound and not let the UM guy get it and save it for a trey. He's not having a good game today. 2 points, 2 TOs and no assists.

I agree that he needs to step up. But In fairness they are letting Michigan's guards hand-check the **** out of him.
