Michigan looked way better than their #16 ranking. True freshman Hunter Dickinson (7-2) was unstoppable. Hit 10-11 FG and pulled down 11 rebounds.

Nah, Michigan looked like a top 5 team easy, at least for this game. Ton of talent. I so want RU to beat Mish.. I was so disappointed coming back from MSG last year and then our only loss at the RAC.

I really want to slay that demon that they have on us. I know it's most fashionable to hate PSU the most out of the B1G schools here, but I utterly despise Michigan. The country club, cheese and wine eating, old money fans of the B1G, just complete snobby pricks. I'm thoroughly disappointed we let them off the hook in football as we had them beat in OT.

I looked at the halftime stats .... Maryland was 9 for 11 from 3 pointers and Michigan was 14 from 16 from the foul line Very contrasting styles

Yahoo box score says they only played seven guys tonight. Johns scored six off the bench, Brown 0. I don't wish injuries on anyone but I wonder how good they would look if they had the injuries we do. It is a long season, let's see how it plays out.

Maryland hung with them and was leading in the second half. Then the Michigan just separated. The frosh center is very developed physically for his age. They will be a handful again this year.

Do college head coaches who have NBA backgrounds have recruiting advantages? I could be wrong, but Michigan and Memphis recruiting has picked up significantly. Seems to have helped Arizona State and Alabama. Not sure about Nebraska and Georgetown. Chris Mullin and Danny Manning and Clyde Drexler - nothing great. Probably too small a sample to draw any real conclusions.

Maryland lost Darryl Morsell in that game and they fell apart shortly after. He's their glue guy. (not their best player, that's Donta Scott)

The Morsell injury was was bizarre. Got elbowed in the face but you could barely see anything happen. When he left the court I saw something weird with his face but announcers didn't see it.

He looked real distressed hope the kid is OK, Def has an issue here with that dent in his face

Michigan has beaten Penn State, Nebraska and Maryland in Conference play, 3 teams where Dickinson had a significant advantage in the post in terms of height and size. I'm interested to see his game against Illinois - Kofi, Iowa - Garza, Myles, and the next 2 games against Ryan Young and on January 6 against Liam Robbins. The decided advantage in terms of height/size is about to shrink for Dickinson and we'll find out how advanced he is at this stage.

Dickinson sure looks the part of the guy the rest of the conference will absolutely despise. He was flexing at the MD bench all game. Talk about a punchable face.

Definitely snobby. Great school (not taking that away), but the sort of pretension that's associated with going there from NJ is a bit much. It's a state school, after all. You'd think your friends were going to Harvard with the way they pump it up. We'll beat em this year.

Based on the games that I have watched Michigan has the best talent in the B1G .Wagner and Dickinson in the front court have size and scoring prowess that makes them future NBA players. The offense is difficult to defend because they have scorers at every position and they are effective in a uptempo or a half course offense.Rutgers had two opportunities to defeat Michigan at MSG and the RAC last season and it didn't happen .Howard has already shown his recruiting prowess .on the national level.which should concern all B1G teams.Yes,Michigan will lose some league games but with no fans in the arena their talent makes them very dangerous on road games.Hopefully, this is the season that Rutgers defeats a B1G team from Michigan.

And what you've watched is Michigan play the 3 worst teams in the Big Ten Conference (3 teams have combined for 1 win in Conference to date), with disadvantages in their Post play. We'll find out more information as they begin to play ranked teams with more equivalent skills.

If we're going back to last year, of which Michigan has a different team this year, although Michigan beat Rutgers twice, Rutgers finished ahead of them in the standings by a game with Michigan winning as many Conference games as losing games.

MD passed on him and he was local kid
“Big Cowbell” Dickinson was more highly rated than Cliff O. with a very polished game (can hit 3’s) and he’s a mountain of a human. I could see Maryland passing on him based on playing style and his relative lack of elite athleticism, but he’s got future NBA 5 written all over him.

No, he was recruited and offered. Maryland and DeMatha do not have a good basketball relationship, and like many other DeMatha stars, he was likely persuaded from within the program to go elsewhere.

He made a lot of immature comments leading up to this gam, in which he was furiously rewriting history, and Turgeon, to his credit didn't bite.

By the way, Garza was also a local guy. You don't always get the local guys.
