RU was a 22 point underdog on the road....team just needs a little more depth that will be developed as we go through this season and next.

Excellent effort....again, eyes were opened with the most important people...area HS and AAU folks......a couple of "And 1's", and RU is pulling this upset...

Corey, almost - think he needed to drive there to get to the line.
Agreed. And this is not a criticism. Certainly not of the player. But twice taking breakdown long jumpers late in regulation is not the way I would have strategized things. I think a clear out for a drive into the lane would have been my call. Especially with two free throws coming if you're fouled. If you can get the layup good but if not the floater from about 10 feet.

Valiant effort by the guys today. Geo had a rough game, but he’ll get his mojo back. He’s a freshman. He’ll learn from his mistakes. He had a couple of cheap swipe fouls and bad possessions. I feel like he shoots a whole lot better when he rises up straight, whereas Corey can shoot those (practically 45 degree lean back) fadeaway shots.

One thing about Corey...holy crap, dude can ball. I feel like he is still improving. If he keeps going upward, he should be in the league. He’s not there yet though, but with this coaching staff and hard work, good things will happen.

The refs didn't give Corey any calls on drives all night and you think they're going to call them at the end of a game? No chance. He did what he thought he could to get a field goal to go down. Unfortunately, the last shot of regulation rimmed out.

Tonight I am glad Corey showed his frustrations because the everyone knew the refs were giving him the business

Yeah, that hurt he had him on lock and instead of minding his business he steps to the BIG and couldnt recover, but not to have a hand up to bother him, was not smart.
That was the real mistake. Why cheat off a shooter to go over to one of their bigs? It wasn't Bridges so the guy wasn't a threat that far from the basket. You see that time and time again in basketball and its annoying. Know who the shooters are, find them and stay close to them!

I'm not saying he should have counted on the foul. I'm talking about the play choice from the bench.. He's deadly on those little floaters in the paint and was also killing them on drives to the basket.
