Him and Morrow on this team would have made us real tough this year!
Jacobsen is having a great year and would have helped us tremendously BOTH last year and this year. Morrow isn't playing all that much for Marquette and continues to have intermittent problems with that foot. He's getting I think around 10 minutes a game and scoring on average about 5-6 points. Ed is purely a role player. The issue is that Jacobsen would have had to play the 5 a lot for us and he didn't want to do that. Interestingly he's having to do just that for ISU too when I've watched them. Jacobsen is shooting the 3 at over 30% as far as I can tell and roughly 50% from the field otherwise. I think when I looked he was averaging around 16 ppg.

I liked both of those guys. Morrow's injuries have hampered his development. I think he could have had a great college career if he had found the right fit at a school and stayed healthy. I'm not surprised with Jacobsen's success. He just needed more work on his outside shot. I see he's averaging 14 points and 6 boards a game for a good Iowa State team. He wouldn't get the ball as much playing with the Huskers and maybe he'd be averaging more like 8 and 8, but he would be a good player nonetheless.

Actually Jacobson doesn't really get the ball much for Iowa State, either - he's pretty much their 4th or 5th offensive option. But he plays a ton of minutes, gets a lot of put-backs and runs the court well on fast breaks. It's too bad he's not doing those things for NU, but the switch to ISU seems to suit him.

I watched a little bit of him in an ISU loss earlier this year. To me he looked a little bigger but still kind of stiff on both ends of the floor. One certainly can't argue with his production and hustle though. Would have been a nice piece for NU.

When Solamon gets back totally healthy, jackbsons minutes will be reduced. Solaman could have played yesterday, but ISU didn't think they needed him with Kansas big man out.

I think he just needed a reset, just as many of the transfers Nebraska has received.
