Any chance of a flip from Purdue? Maybe he joins his brother on the banks.... Does his style fit Greg's vision?
Makes sense. Plus he is a Pro-style (not saying he can't adapt)...Likely need OC in place first.

Yeah, I think more people would be in line with Zap's point if Ash wasn't so dismissive of the recent success we had here under Greg and Flood to a certain extent. Getting rid of the spring awards which were named for historic Rutgers football figures was unnecessary and poor form.He may not be a bad guy, but..
The arrogance he displayed in his introductory press conference, combined with his disrespect for program history, rubbed a lot of us the wrong way.

You DO have a GOOD heart.I don't hate the man even though he stole 4 years from my RU FB Life.Zap,4 years at my age is not a desirable loss.Ash was not a bad guy, he simply was irrelevant with no impact.

Hey- you are not that old. And no disrespect was meant to @beaced , who is likely the senior statesman of this board--you have nothing on beaced!Knightshift, expect to be contacted by my attorney. I did not give you permission to use my photo.
Any decent recruiter would have loved to be in NJ with RU down.
It has very good football, good schools, and it's small for driving around.
I agree with this.. we got a 1st time young head coach who IMO was taken advantage of. He didn't know what he was getting into, this is a special place that really needs a guy with vision and just plain old stubbornness to succeed. Ash was hired on a budget, and hamstrung with a weak assistant salary pool to boot. The guy had no shot. He also inherited a program in trouble. This is why although he ended up being bad, he can and will be easily forgotten. I will never forget what Flood did. He had no excuses, he was in the program, he knew what needed to be done. He inherited a full cupboard and he freaking slacked off and then pulled some shady **** on top of it. He is the cancer. Forever will be in my mind.Sometimes you don't know what you don't know. Unfortunately, too much time and money went into his on-the-job training. Glad we're getting back on track now.
We recently had an up decade from 2005 to 2014."with RU down." As opposed to all those "up" years.

Still don't get it, do you?‘Never should have been hired.
Disastrous blunder by Hobbs.
Cost RU Athletics millions.
