I agree. Wonder what they saw on replay that made them change it.
I never saw the ball in any of the replays. There's no way there was clear evidence he caught it. The only thing I can think of is the ref on scene realized he screwed up and had the booth correct his mistake, because I saw nothing that showed any sort of catch.

Wetgen is a darn close carbon copy

Saw Dwight jump over a kid when a he was a freshman against Wahlert. Left that game thinking that’s the best HS football player I’ve ever seen. Csb

KW is so fun to watch.

unfortunately, he’s best when the defenders are on tilt, pretty much only on returns.
