"The new Nebraska coaching staff came by to see me," said Parsons. "Once I had heard the old coaches had been let go, I was no longer interested in Nebraska. They're still one of my top schools but it's too late to be able to build relationships with a new staff. There just isn't enough time."
Not surprised by thIs. Don't understand why he says Nebraska is still one of his top schools when he no longer has interest. Just say thanks but no thanks.

He is still going to look around and other coaches might be keeping up with him. Its a big step.

Riley put a lot of guys in the NFL over the years despite his teams not really accomplishing much on the college field. Maybe that is the type of coach he wants?

Look at how the fans reactions to de-commits has already changed from hand wringing a few weeks ago to buh bye today. That's a 180 degree change.

We can come back to this thread after his Junior season when he decides to not play in a bowl game and leaves his team to get ready for the draft. Would not surprise me one bit. He will make the statement at the combine that he does not want to get drafted by the Chargers, but they are one of the top teams he would be willing to play for.

Good? Didn't want him anyway? We should all be on the same page, now?

There, I said it

The double talk is strong with this one.... o_O He isn't interested in Nebraska but he has the new Florida staff coming in? Nebraska is one of my top schools..... BUT I am not considering them.....

Not that it matters, he wasn't coming here either way. Best of luck to you Parsons.

I think he wasn’t coming and used the coaching change as a convenient reason.

No problem.

Would love to have him but don't blame him. Most of the staffs he's communicating with have been recruiting him probably for 2+ years. I have a feeling Frost and his staff had very little communication with him just assuming UCF was not a viable option for him. Trying to create that kind of relationship with him in 2 months instead of 2 years is virtually impossible. He could've said it clearer but seems like a completely reasonable, rational decision.

Meh, win some, lose some. And as others have stated, he most likely wasn’t going to show up in Lincoln anyway. Best of luck to him. N

Gentleman. My OP was not meant to be an opinion but merely a fact he is no longer interested in DONU. For those who are harsh on this young man or any recruit, remember they can only pick one.

But, he's considering Florida, with a new coaching staff. Laughing

We've been out of the running since his group made it clear how much it would take to get his signature.
Quoting so others actually read this.
And I am to read this that Micah's group subscribes to the Cam Newton/Eric Dickerson school of recruiting?

I’m glad someone else saw this too. Just waste the new Florida staff’s time, right? Not enough time to build a relationship!
