It’s over for Heritage Mitchell football has left Yancey County in 2 or 3 years everyone in the conference will be scheduling them on homecoming you can sure tell Joey Retired

Well Mitchell only team left in our conference. MH had trouble with Lincolnton pass and speed on offense.
MH lost 37-36
Never passing bit them in the butt. They had 1&10 on the Lincolnton 25 but on 2nd down tried a pitch for some reason and the RB didn't catch it making 3rd&13 with time running out had to try and pass twice but they're just not good at passing. That's the only thing about their offense even with Joey who bty is still an assistant coach in the playoffs against playoff teams if they get in a have to passing situation they simply don't do it enough during the reason season and you can't just do it when you have to in the playoffs.

Final thoughts on this one. What an interesting game. Opening KO Mitchell gets pinned inside the 10 and goes on a long time consuming drive for the TD. Then MIC coaches made some adjustments and really took away Mitchell’s back for most of the rest of the game. QB stepped up with some big time runs.

MIC hurt themselves at times with costly penalties. And the Mitchell D really stepped up making life hard on the MIC QB when they would bring pressure. I was concerned when MIC figured out they had more speed and started to take advantage of that.

Things got chippy with both teams running their mouths. Multiple unsportsmanlike penalties, player ejected, fan thrown out (not sure why) just some crazy stuff. Game being called with 20 seconds left on the clock. At this point in the playoffs (or anytime for that matter) both sides have to be smarter.

Again congratulations to the Mitchell D for making some big 4th down stops.

A deputy sheriff said as far as the last 20 sec that was a MIC player attacking Mitchell player. Apparently some of them had an attitude problem especially at the end.
