Congrats to RK for her big scoring game! Hoping she keeps it going! Nice to be in the win column!

excellent postThe 'Courtney haters' 'go away' when she wins a game against a 'lesser' opponent because she's always won those kinds of games. Nothing to see here, nothing to talk about.
The gripe is that after about 6 years, she still doesn't have a statement win, to put UNC back on the map. At some point you have to punch through. How many years is enough?
FWIW, I don't like the phrase 'Courtney hater'. Although it immediately gets the point across. I maintain: she's brought the program back to normalcy and respectability, but she's not the coach to get us to the next level. Hoping I have to eat crow at the end of the season.
So does winning at higher-seeded Arizona in the ncaa tourney not count as a statement win? How about multiple wins over top 10 teams from dook, state, and Louisville? The gripe is that after about 6 years, she still doesn't have a statement win, to put UNC back on the map. how about acc tournament wins over 6 years...So does winning at higher-seeded Arizona in the ncaa tourney not count as a statement win? How about multiple wins over top 10 teams from dook, state, and Louisville?
excuses...Eighth, youngest teams in college WBB. That in itself covers a lot of this years problems. Throw in R Kelly being hurt is a load.
That's exactly what is is. Same ole, same ole, every Season!excuses...
Hatchell was getting those same wins (although at a lesser extent) during her final seasons here. She had a victory over #1 ranked Notre Dame in her last season. It's obvious that wasn't the standard. The standard to me is finishing in the top half of the ACC, slightly above average recruiting, and winning a game or two in the NCAA Tournament. So does winning at higher-seeded Arizona in the ncaa tourney not count as a statement win? Love SH, and she definitely had her set of BS to deal with that couple of years… but let’s not ignore the facts over the last 4 years of that regime:Hatchell was getting those same wins (although at a lesser extent) during her final seasons here. Interesting that you think ACC tournament games mean more than ncaa tournament games.how about acc tournament wins over 6 years...
I didnt say that, did I? Do you think Court's record in the ACCT is acceptable?Interesting that you think ACC tournament games mean more than ncaa tournament games.
Roy Williams would disagree.
I know what Hatchell record was over those seasons.Love SH, and she definitely had her set of BS to deal with that couple of years… but let’s not ignore the facts over the last 4 years of that regime:
-0 seasons above .500 in the ACC
-just one season with a winning record (18-15)
-combined ACC record the last 4 years: 19-41 (31%)
-combined overall record: 62-65
and if you go back even further…. In the last 10 years: just one ACC finish in the top 4. With 8 games below .500 in league play.
CB has significantly improved the program over her career and it needs to continue to improve to an even higher level.
I already knew what SH record was over the last 4 seasons. I also know that Carolina hasn't won an ACC title of any sort since 2008, played in an ACCT final since 2012, and two other ACC head coaches who who were hired since CB has been at UNC have won an ACCT. I don't mind the nonchalant attitude towards the ACCT like Roy had but at least have deep NCAA tournament runs to back it up.Love SH, and she definitely had her set of BS to deal with that couple of years… but let’s not ignore the facts over the last 4 years of that regime:
