Showalter had the umpires check him for a foreign substance prior to that. He was dominating them. The intensity definitely went up a couple of notches after that. Looks like the Mets are about to be eliminated.

They really <17> up a great season. They let Atlanta sweep them to lose the division and now this. Scherzer forgot how to pitch. He should not pitch his first game until June next year.
