I saw it posted on Twitter earlier today that he will announce on Friday.
I am currently looking for it and will post it if I find it.

Long Island (N.Y.) Lutheran tight end Messiah Swinson will sign with either Nebraska or Missouri on Friday, according to Lutheran coach Chris Reno.
Swinson's paternal grandmother died this week. The wake was Tuesday, the funeral is Wednesday, and Swinson will sign on Friday, the last of the three days high school prospects can sign.
Reno said the 6-foot-8, 230-pound Swinson prefers one position.
"Playing tight end is a priority for him," Reno said. "I know Nebraska signed a tight end Wednesday, but I think Messiah knew that was going to happen."
Mizzou already sent its paperwork to the high school and Nebraska's is on its way, Reno said.

Shame if staff brought up OT/DE or the like instead of giving this kid a chance to shine as a TE.
Why? If that's where they project the kid in their system I don't see a problem in that. I don't see a TE neither but I do see a possible OT with strength and conditioning.
Because, if they insinuated it, without regard for his own interests, he gone.
Arrogant. Could be truthful, but give this kid a shot at his favorite position, IMO.

He may still sign with Nebraska, why would coach even bother saying this if he was going with Missouri?

He's just setting himself up to have something to ***** about if he picks Missouri
What I don't understand is that it has pretty much been known for at least a few days that he was Mizzou bound and would sign with Mizzou during the early signing period. Then he delays his signing until Feb, but then announces he will commit the day after the early signing period is over. My guess is he is intrigued by the aTm offer and will play this out no matter who he commits to tonight.
Some success in the past at the TE position. Probably promises of instant playing time.
Losing this kid hurts, IMO. I suppose we have a lot of guys at the position, but his catch radius is ridiculous with the option of playing multiple positions should he not have the stuff at TE.

My gut is we made the mistake of bringing up other options where he could fit in instead of giving him a clear path to TE. Dumb.
Just stop already. You are making this up and then calling it dumb.
Need a game changer at TE. Big body. Helps when all the speed is bottled up by a great defense, especially in the middle seams.

Wow, you Nebraska fans still think it’s the 90’s with this “how could any kid pick Mizzou over Nebraska garbage”. You just offered Chris Mills from TX, he chose Mizzou. Messiah just signed with Mizzou. Sorry but these kids weren’t even alive when Nebraska was relevant.........they are not going back and watching VHS tapes of Nebraska running the option.
Yeah, and Nebraska is still bigger than Mizzou..
