NU is not very good. The S&P+ model proves it. Their crushing win over Stanford was only made possible because Stanford's body clocks were messed up with an effective 5:00 a.m. start time. The win over ranked Wisc was only possible because of referee interference. Nobody else on their schedule who they beat was any good. Also, the Cats are Big Ten slow.

You have nothing to fear in this game.

Who are you kidding? You are a mighty B1G power that is ranked in the Top 12. We are just hoping to keep it close, so your fans won't get bored.

Vol fans have more class in their middle finger than you guys have in your entire fanbase. Keep telling them about how you beat vandy and team speed doesn't matter.

What kinda fan are you? Who do you pull for?

Yes it's been my lifelong dream to see cal play in the outback bowl

Go away Asshat! Vols fans this douche bag is legendary around here. Hasn't been around all year cuz Cal blows and their coach is trying to leave to go to the SEC. Good thing they have a QB or they would be 3-9 instead of that robust 7-5. Squeaked out a 2 point win to avoid losing 6 of their last 7. Split with us when we had two bad years and he thinks Cal Bears are 72 Dolphins. Asshat.

I love droski. Anytime someone mentions him or Cal it's like a bat signal for him to come over here and defend his schools honor and I think it's hilarious. Play on playa

Droski is Cal's biggest wannabe d-bag. He's here because Cal has nothing to cheer for.

Maybe, he is a wanna be Wildcat? Why else would he be here? It sounds like a cry in the dark to me.
At any rate, Northwestern fans seem very cordial to me.

We're a bunch of nerdy northerners. We don't know how to be anything other than nice (most of us, at least. Even this site has a few jerks).

We have a lot of arrogance in our base. I hope none of those find there way here.

I am enjoying needling your fans on some other threads. Several have come and are obviously simply pleased that there is a place (unlike the UT Rivals Board) where they can interact with NU fans for free. We appreciate you and enjoy the new blood. Others came to trash talk which is also fun. Others come expecting us to bow down before the superior Vols with insincere damning-through-faint-praise posts and then they get huffy when we get a little nasty.

Being from Tennessee, I know the buttons to push to annoy UT fans and I am playing on that quite a bit. I hope nothing that I print for this purpose offends you or your fellow posters that have come to our board politely.

But it is fun. ;)

Question is.... How does a Cal fan end up on your board?

He's a Cal fan who for too long has tasted the bitter wine of seeing his program attain perpetual also-ran status while serving as the red-headed stepchild of an academic and football heavyweight next door. Now that the star quarterback is leaving and the coach who resurrected the Bears to 7-win status has one foot out the door as he whines about academic requirements, he sees the Darkness encircling him again as his fingers clutch vainly at the Pistachio Bowl trophy, weeping blood...

Butch Jones has already spoken to how good NW is. I feel they are underrated to be honest. We share one thing... both teams let a couple games slip away that could have been won.

Tennessee is a feeder school . . . . for the Jerry Springer show. That's the strongest connection to Chicago that I know. We also see the Volunteer faithful sweat it out during the paternity tests on the Maury Povich show.

My personal favorites are the guys who come on here and proclaim their ignorance of where Northwestern even is. They remind me of the girl in the AT&T commercials telling the teenager that she also bedazzles her jackets and the teenager says "and you admit to that?" Who admits that they don't know where Northwestern is? It's like admitting you've never heard of Cal Tech Vassar. It's an admission of being an ignoramus.

Moroever, how can a Tennessee fan have never heard of Northwestern? They obviously aren't that bright, or else they'd remember that we're the school that embarrassed their in-state rival, Vandy, into quitting our series of games with that bumbling, pussyish "Dear John, we quit" letter that Franklin forced Vandy into sending because he had no chance of winning against big, bad Northwestern! Any TRUE Tennessee fan would revel in that fact, the same way we revel in Illinois' bumbling ways. These fans are clearly out to lunch, almost certainly liquid lunch. The best thing we can do is to just keep hitting the ignore button on them and make them feel as irrelevant as they truly are, but haven't quite realized yet...

First off.... TN fans don't care about any team who is the little sister to OSU and MICH. Secondly, we hate Vandy and laughed when the chickened out. But your tirade was great... English major?

We are honest enough with ourselves to know that the Michigan and Iowa games did not slip away. We were clearly outplayed by superior teams. It is nice of you to phrase it that way. Given that all of your losses were within one score, the phrase "slipped away" is more accurate for your team.

Little sister? We are more like the third cousin that no one talks about. The one that came when... (whispers) you know.

Yeah all boards have their in-born ********. We all have to live with them but most of us can
be decent posters . I think it is going to be a close game. Good luck to you guys after the New Year.
