I've wondered the same thing. Does she go with him since he legitimately should get the shot or does she go with her own nominee?
If the Senate does as they suggested they might, the process may start following the election. I think that will be the GOP strategy if Hillary wins. I'm curious to see what happens, because a lot of things could happen to put a pause on that. Obama could withdraw the nomination. The Dems could win control of the next Senate, and they could block the process - ironically.
If Trump wins, I suspect that Garland gets no hearings regardless of whether the D's or R's control the next Senate.
