Down 29-8 against UAB in the first half. Amazing how far that program has fallen.

Lost by 15. Memphis had won the last 16 meetings.

Gonna cost $10 million to buy him out after this year.

Didn't Memphis buy out Pastner so Georgia Tech would take him. ;0) Don't know that Tubby's gonna have that going for him.
Memphis is Tubby's last job and not because he's a bad coach...I just think he's done with the daddy politics and AAU crap. He can't just coach the team anymore.

This I know. If he takes another job he'll regret it. He probably already regrets taking this job except for the retirement fundage.

He strikes me as a tired and burned out coach at the end of his career. Hope he can recruit and turn it around. Hate to see him end his career like this.

Elon's a decent team. Not sure why USF is playing at their place, though. I was more disappointed in UCF losing a true home game to Mizzou. They're unbelievably bad on offense without BJ Taylor and Aubrey Dawkins.

Definitely. The conference is starting to stratify with Temple and SMU clearly above the Houston/UCF/UConn group.

Don't a number of significant injuries hinder the Houston/UCF/Uconn group. That bunch should even start looking better in late December.

UCF will get Taylor back. He was their leading scorer last year. But it's starting to look like they really needed Dawkins' 3pt shooting and he's out for the year. They made 33% last night to sneak up to 349th nationally in 3PT%.

I'm not aware of any Houston injuries.

SMU should be much tougher when USF transfer Jahmal McMurray is eligible 2nd semester. He averaged over 20 points, shooting over 50% from 3-point (almost 7 attempts per game) in 2016.

With he, Shake, and Jimmy Whitt in the back court, they’ll have the best guards in the league. All the more to savor our win over them in February.

For some reason I thought Rob Gray was still injured. I was also thinking about the injury to one of Uconn's leading rebounders Cobb.

Everyone was saying graduating Matt Williams wouldn’t affect UCF that much but it looks like a significant impact.

Not to be outdone, Pastner lost to Grambling tonight, who was 1-56 in non-conference DI road games the past 7 years. The game-winner was an own goal by a GT player reaching to grab a defensive rebound.

That’s awesome. Grambling has been playing body bag games basically forever right? And now they finally win one and it’s Pastner

Yeah, pretty much the entire SWAC funds their programs by playing these games in November and December. Grambling plays their first home game of the year on Monday against Tougaloo College. The best part is that they blew a 16-point lead and then won the game on this:
