Memphis fans are delusional

Full disclosure, UK grad here that lives in Memphis... Penny and the Tigers advanced yesterday and will be playing Gonzaga tomorrow night.

You would think the radio shows around here would be only talking about the Tigers, but they seem to be openly mocking our loss yesterday to St. Peters. I guess we live rent free in Tiger nations heads.

They have multiple threads on their message board and the comments show just how out of touch Memphis fans are.

I'll give Penny some credit for turning them around, but we would wax Memphis anytime, anyplace, anywhere.

It's not easy living in Memphis, but it sure as hell isn't easy living in Memphis being a UK fan.

All that said, I still believe in Cal and think he will get us back to where we belong vs being the butt of jokes from less superior fanbases.

I understand everyone is pissed, myself included, but we have to rally our young men and our coach

Based on last night's performance I told my wife if we win, we maybe win one more before getting knocked out. They have not looked very good the last 4 or 5 games they played.

and what conference does St Peters play in........they handed Cal & UK their tails

Imagine the threads here if Memphis was a 2 and lost to a 15, it would be way worse than what Memphis fans are doing to us, we deserve it.

Really? We would beat them by 25?

We just lost to St. Peters, and I could not tell you what state they are in or what conference. I'm past making fun of any program for anything.

Really not sure how you can post this the day after we get handled by a team not many of us knew existed 5 days ago. I haven't seen this team WAX anybody in a long time.

St. Peters would beat Memphis by 20 I suspect. Penny can't coach, despite their turnaround. I'm going to have to move if they somehow beat Gonzaga

I was listening to KSR this morning and they said ST. Peter’s whole basketball budget is 1.5 million dollars and we have a coach that makes 9 million a year. Talking about getting bent over for what UK pays!

When you lose like the Cats did last night, can't do much but take it. Don't have much to defend ourselves with. I live in Nashville and have to listen to the UT talk. I do hope both Memphis and UT get beat.

And the Peacocks played in the MAC.

BBN needs to shut up with the smack talk until we make a final four. We have no room to talk right now. We don’t even own the SEC at the moment.

At this point I almost want UT to win the whole thing. Just so Cal can see what a real offense and basketball team looks like in 2022.

What’s delusional is to think we would beat them anywhere, anyplace, anytime.

Sorry, but it’s the truth. We gave them major **** throughout this season when they were bad. But they are still playing and we are sent home versus Saint Peters. Gotta eat the crow now.
