We've spoke of our favorite dunks a few times but I don't recall our favorite 3's.Sorry pisgah if we have. A lot of them were buzzer beaters, game changers, daggers to seal the game or just a ones like mine. My favorite belongs to Marshall Plumlee and his one and only 3. Because of it he has the best 3 point percentage at 100%. I remember his smile going down the court and the bench going crazy. My Iron Duke buddy who has had season tickets for 25 plus years said he had never heard Cameron so loud. My man crush Marshall Plumlee. OFC

Too many to count. Hurley will always be the best bc it was the start of it all. Tyus hit arguably the biggest shot in the championship game we’ve ever had. All three of Mike D’s 3’s vs Arizona. Nolan’s 3 vs Baylor. Jon and JJ during their senior years hit two enormous 3s to win the ACCT. JJ in the ACCT vs State his freshman year. Austin of course vs UNC, even Luke last year vs Wake on the road. Grayson hit a huge 3 last year vs UNC at Home. How about the 3s JW hit vs MD in the miracle minute.

I have been a Duke fan since 1988 and have rarely missed a televised game. But I don't know how you all remember this stuff.....especially as much as Timo named off. I can't remember all that. Maybe I just drink too much during the game!!! As far as my favorite 3, I would say Hurley in '91 because I wanted us to win that first title so bad.

Love it!

Here’s some more of mine....

JJ in the Meadowlands, circa 2006 (go ahead and try to pick just one). Quinn’s three to put us in the lead at Virginia, and then Tyus’s subsequent dagger to shock them and their fans, that of course coming on the heels of Sulaimon’s dismissal and when we appeared to be reeling. Andre Dawkins vs. Baylor in 2010....without them, we probably don’t win. Matt vs. Gonzaga in the Elite Eight and then to win the ACCT last year. Greg Paulus at North Carolina in 2008....we hopped on his back. Rasheed Sulaimon vs. Virginia in 2014. For about 45 seconds the three Jason Williams hit against Indiana...of course, we all remember the missed FT that came next. JJ vs Virginia his senior year....again, go ahead and try to pick just one (in fact, let’s just go ahead and say every three that JJ Hot the 2006 season).

All the memorable 3’s have pretty much been named.
I would have to say Hurley’s in the unlv game and Rivers’ st the banner dome were my two favs.
I’ll have to give an honorable mention to Kris Jenkins of Villanova for his dagger in the ‘16 ship.

Anyone remember back to back to back triples by Dunleavy early in the second half of the 2001 title game. All three within about ninety second time frame?
Yes, me a few posts earlier!

Too add a few more now that I’m thinking about it- Grayson’s 3 in the second half of the championship game really got us the momentum back. And it was a deep 3 that you said how does that kid have the stones to take that shot.

Any of Ryan Kelly’s 3s against Miami his first game back from injury (bummer that’s really the last good ball he would play for us).

Seth Curry hit a couple big time shots and had his coming out party in a duke uniform vs UNC, part of the best comeback in duke history.

JJ Redick hit a huge 3 vs Xavier in the tourney off an unbelievable play by Luol Deng rebound to send us to the final 4 his sophomore year. Man that team got screwed.

Big problem with Capel shot. We lost the game. I prefer to remember his behind the back pass to Cherokee for dunk in 94 regional final against The Big Dog and Purdue.

Wojo to Ricky Price to beat Maryland in 1996. Jay Williams with back to back jacks in College Park in 2001 leads to Miracle Minute. I loved beating those Beltway Buffoons.
Don't know why. But I always remember the Ricky Price shot.

I will add Capel vs unc. Not game winner.

Dockery vs VT

Thornton vs Kansas

Dawkins at the end of the half vs Baylor 2010 EE.

The obvious, Rivers you know where, you know when.

There's so many. I give up.

I agree that the ultimate loss to the heels makes Capels 3 bittersweet. That around the back entry pass against Purdue is up there with my all time Duke moments. Another favorite moment from that game is Grant blocking Glen Robinson's first shot of the game, right at the beginning, after posting up Grant. Will never forget Antonio Lang and someone else, I think, going up to Grant and yelling "you're our big dog!"

Justise Winslow also had a huge three in Houston to help us move forward- he deserved to be the MOP of that regional i thought.

@Quavarius and @DukeSky85 , both good shout outs for Matt.

As far as the Capel shot, this is the most memorable 3 conversation. You don't have to win the game to have a memorable 3 pointer.

Like Rivers against FSU. Hit a big 3 to tie the game and presumably take us to OT but Snaer had other thoughts. Still remember Rivers hitting that shot.

I can't add to what has already been posted, but to me it has to be Hurley in 91 against UNLV, Tyus's shot to seal the deal in title game. I knew he was gonna shoot, and knew he'd make it. Dunleavy's one 3 will always stick in my mind against Arizona title game where he caught the ball, faked the pass, then drained the 3. So many good moments.

1. Tyus Jones dagger in the national championship game. (SI cover)
2. Austin Rivers over Zeller
3. A. Luke against Wake Forrest
3. B. Tyus at Virginia to cap a come back. (They were undefeated, that’s when I knew we were legit, probably one of my favorite games)

Jeeze gave myself goosebumps just typing this stuff.

I can't pick one. Got chills just thinking of some from Hurley, Laettner, Grant, Battier, Trajan, Brian Davis, Tyus, Jason W, Quinn. Geesh!

Hard to top anything posted already...
-2013 Sweet 16 Seth Curry hit some massive 3's against MSU.
-2016 the game @ UNC that we won, epic game, they scored a million points in the paint, Luke hit a MASSIVE BOMB from the corner with about 2 min left for us to take the lead for good.

Capel's three against UNC is one of the biggest in Duke history. The fact that so many of you didn't include it makes me think a lot of you are rather young:)

As many said, we didn’t win that game that was a major reason for leaving it off for me.

Scheyer to.win ACCT since I was there.

Also, I don't remember the game well since I was young, but it was during the lean years 95-97 and we played NC St at Duke. It.was close late so my dad woke me up to see the end. Collins his a game winner that bounced on the back rim and fell through that I believe was a three. More of a big shot personally getting to watch the end of a late game with my dad. But it's one I remember

Sulaimon's 3 against uva from the corner. It hit the side of the rim, bounced straight up and in. You hardly ever see that shot go in.

If that was one of the biggest shots in Duke history it would have been a sorry history. It was a loss and I'm not young.

I'm so old that I remember Robbie West' 1972 last second shot(probably from 3 point range today) that Beat unc.

'Memorable' 3's fellas. Not game winners. Capel's 3 is shown on every highlight reel depicting the Duke/unc rivalry. It is indeed one of the most memorable 3's....

That said, I don't have a problem if you don't want to list it. I just don't get discrediting the shot.
