This makes no sense. We can still win - simply bc we are the better team. And im wrong about what? I really don't get your post. Trust im enjoying every second of this - but nope im not a fan of a bunch of football recruits sitting in the student section, taking away from the atmosphere. Just like it would be silly if a bunch of basketball recruits filled in a section of student section at football games. Just say you only care about football - bc you obviously don't get it

“ Lounging around weakening the atmosphere”? Yeah, I guess that’s why RU lost. Oh, wait ...

You are so wrong in so many ways. Wah, wah, wah. Why don’t you just lighten up and enjoy the run the team is on?

Always amazes me that people come on this board without facts and then proceed to say stupid things.

I took advantage of the 2 for 1 ticket deal for Penn St. and Indiana and was in the student section for both games. Almost half the student section was adults/families. After the Indiana game, there was a last-minute sale on student section seats for the Minny game, so one would have to assume that without the recruits, the section would not have been full.

Now that students are back, you won't see this again this year. Kudos to RU for being creative while student interest increases as the team gets better.

Not sure why you felt the need to make a personal insult. You actually made my point. I didn’t say the section was filled with students for Indiana and PSU, but they were filled with people who give a damn and cheer, not recruits who sit on their hands. Why do you think the student section was full for IU without recruits, but MN would not have been filled absent using 1/3 of the student section for kids determined to sit on their hands?

So are you also in favor of only admitting people over 12? Why should we have these pre-teens and younger who have no interest in the game taking up space and
not contributing to the atmosphere in the RAC. How loud can they be? Do they even know why people are cheering? They mostly are sitting on the hands !! That is except the
babies that are sitting on their parents lap. Oh, Oh, lets not forget the fans for the opponent. We need to ban them also since they certainly won't stand up and cheer for
our team. Come to think about it, shouldn't the games only be made available to the students. Remember it it their fellow students they are cheering on. Why are we letting
non-students in? They're only taking up valuable seats that more of the 30K plus student body could be able to attend.

I’m talking about one section of the RAC. It’s called the student section for a reason.

Again, because you are determined to die on this hill- RU took advantage of the hype for PSU by basically giving away the Indiana game (2 games for $25), so the student section was filled with non-students. The Minny game had no such promotion, only a last-minute $25 ticket for the student section, for a game on a holiday weekend, during second semester move back for students. So there definitely would not have been the same turnout. Have you heard of many fans not being able to buy one of those student section tickets because they sold out? Or students being turned away when they tried to get student tickets?

We are ships passing in the night. My point is that the student section is the heart of the RAC and should be reserved for people who actually cheer. RU could have done the same promo to ensure that Rutgers fans filled the student section for the MN game while the students were still on break. Instead, the Athletic Department let the football team fill it with recruits who did their best imitation of statues. I prefer the former.
