Most good Div-1 teams have geographically diverse rosters. Maybe the tide is turning from the failed provincial mindset that Rutgers always had. We have years of lackluster results to encourage us to look for talented athletes first, then worry about if they are NJ natives.

Interesting that the article states he beat out Guy Fava, who had a very strong camp. No mention of Patel.

I would also note that GS only named him the starting placekicker. We don't know yet who will be kicking off.
