Didn't Ciarrocca/Flood replace McNulty back in 08? Just a few years later with no Co title this time around.

Didn't last long
"Boston College had the Atlantic Coast Conference’s third-lowest scoring offense at just 17.8 points per game last season; the Eagles were held to 23 or fewer points in nine of their 11 games against Football Bowls Subdivision competition."

Rutgers says hold my beer--that's better than our 17.4 points per game, and held to 23 or fewer points in 10 of their 11 games.

That's quite the "instant impact" he provided.

Savon Huggins was RB coach there this year, With OC out, one wonders what he will face

If there's one person on any board willing to revisit John McNulty as OC for this program, in any serious manner, I have no words.

Sounds like he was scapegoated for the season.
that happens when the HC needs to place the blame ( right or wrong)
Sean and Nunzio were scapegoats because of RU's putrid O. that made for a terrible season.

McNulty was a TE coach for Notre Dame and the San Diego Chargers , so if Greg does bring John back he'll be bringing in someone who has coached that opposition in a major program and in the pros.

IIRC, McNulty left on bad terms with the AD. McNulty was asked to be acting HC when Ash was fired, and he declined.

That's a good way to leave on bad terms and be out of the running to return.
But if Schiano wants McNulty back and Hobbs doesn't see better options available, Johnny will return .
But I think the pro game will be his destination

Wasn’t it McNulty that developed Art as a QB at RU?

Art's best drive ever was the 4min before half of the Illnois 2018 game.
Right down the field for a TD, 7 for 7, uptempo and quick passes.

What does his OC say?
'Ya that was great. He seems comfortable doing that - we might need to try that more. But remember the running game. Can't do that too much because we have to run the ball."

Heaven forbid put the QB in positions to succeed.

I must be taking crazy pills.
We literally had him here as QB coach with Sitkowski and it was a disaster.
