Was using frosts reference to joe burrow. Again frost putting all his eggs in one basket with Martinez not going after Milton.
Joe Burrow owes millions of dollars to Joe Brady at LSU. Burrow would have never had that kind of success at NU with our receivers, RBs and O line 2 years ago.

Milton was never coming to NU. Why would he? He wanted to play in the NFL. No NFL QB is banging down NUs door.
I don't think it had anything to do with playing in the NFL. FSU runs a very similar offense to Frost's according to Milton in an interview just a few days ago. It was about wanting to stay in Florida near his family.

At least he took a few snaps right? Anyone remember Curt "I'm not ready" Dukes?? 😞

All I know is that he was a highly recruited player from NC and heard nothing about him at Nebraska after he got there, til he transferred to Duke. He didn't get to play much there, either.

Call him out for Burrow all you want. That’s warranted. But to say he didn’t even attempt to bring Milton to Nebraska… can you cite your source that Frost never went after Milton? I’ve got to believe that Frost made a phone call to Milton about transferring. He kept in touch with him even after the injury…

I don’t mind people going after Frost legitimately, but I hate the made up parts of his failings.

If you were Milton, would you have transferred to Nebraska after what you have seen these past three years???

Well he transferred to Florida St who is coming off 3 consecutive losing seasons and didn’t even win the starting job.
So outside of being closer to his parents in Florida, even though @jmliehr refuses to believe they live there, the situations weren’t all that different.

Florida st wasn’t exactly setting the college football world on fire, they were pretty close to a dumpster fire like Nebraska, it was probably more like frost contacted Milton and Milton thought about how you wont be allowed to beat out Adrian so the decision was pretty easy for him

Rusty Medearis had a very similar type of injury when he played for the Hurricanes. He worked like a mutha to get back to playing but the pain was too much and he called it a career in 1994.

I believe Frost wanted him. No reason to think otherwise, as they are very close.

I’m also not sure Nebraska could keep him from being in a wheel chair by game 2.

Props to Milton for making the comeback at all after what he went through. It takes a lot of courage and mental strength to even attempt that.
Whether we tried or not, I wish he was here.
