OK, I'll take the first shot over the bow. These decisions are life decisions that should not be taken lightly. McKenna and her family can take all the time they want, to look at the positives and negatives of each decision. Not to mention agents are involved.
Your perceived timeline means didly squat!
Life. Money. Culture. It's a big decision. Most high school seniors select their college about mid way through their senior year. Caitlin decided in November.
Layla Hays didn’t commit til Oct 12th.. Woliczko will likely make her decision sooner.

This. And keep very different schedules. I get up and leave for work around 2am and I'll often get on here for 10 minutes if theres something I'm checking on and then I head to work. Thats why I'm hardly ever on here from from then until after 1 in the afternoon. Still have to head to the J O B for about another year..

I was a serious doubter on McKenna choosing Iowa. After some of the most recent developments I would be shocked if she isn’t the top 25 recruit we land.
Has there really been any recent developments...she has always seemed pretty high on Iowa I think?
She reached out to Iowa to share her interest in the program. That's why Iowa started recruiting her.
Right but it was mentioned that due to recent developments she might be the one we land...I don't know of anything that suddenly changed and now she is high on us...I think it's been that way for awhile.

Iowa knew about her, of course, but they had not connected. To make a long story short (read the full article here with a subscription to Hawk Central), McKenna’s dad spoke with Bjorn’s dad, who raved about the Iowa culture. Here is the important part:
After returning to California, Aaron Woliczko e-mailed Jensen and Stamp to say his daughter would be “interested in listening, because we’ve heard great things about your culture.”
Addison Bjorn’s dad spoke highly of Iowa’s culture/family feel to the Woliczko’s which caused them to reach out to Iowa for an unofficial visit.
Jan had watched Woliczko before(while recruiting others)and had notes but got lost in the shuffle apparently during coaching change.
That would make you think that can't hurt the chances of landing Bjorn also. That would be, oh let's say..really nice

But how crazy would it be that two years in a row that the best of Cali decide to call Iowa home...and the girl made it happen.
A class of McKenna Woliczko, Addison Bjorn, Amari Byles and Vienna Murray would be insane. Better than I would have ever thought going into the year and possibly top 3 in the country. One can wish and all very possible at this point. 
I have posted for months about a class of Woliczko, Bjorn and Lewis. McKenna is Jan's top need as a PF with a perimeter game to plug in for Hannah, Jenica probably second because of her shooting from the arc and we need another guard, and Addison would be a excellent SF with great handles and range who would replace Fuerebach. Murray would be my other choice - excellent perimeter game. Doubt Jan takes four. If we get Woliczko, I doubt Byles will visit. Keep in mind, Rodriquez is a sophmore who is a very good SF.
Hawks need the first domino to fall. McKenna could be the key to start it all.

I do have to wonder how long the Caitlin Clark effect (and 2 straight appearances in the National Championship game) will last.
Culture and (hopefully) a sold out Big10 arena won't go away. It's up to Jensen to produce post-season success.

I know several folks back in Iowa (some are family) that have season tickets. They all have renewed for this season. The excitement around this team is ongoing.
Any chance they are flying to California so Woliczko can commit in person before she does it publicly??
They are visiting Bjorn today.
