Re: the book. Legally, that doesn't hold water. Writers aren't under oath, and can claim "literary license". Not defending UL at all here. The scope of the grand jury is very limited, and in this case decided there wasn't enough evidence that her daughters were underage at the time, or the recruits were (which basically means that witnesses clammed up when asked about specific acts).

But there's certainly plenty of ammo for the NCAA to come down hard.

I'd say that means the hammer will fall on UL. If the two key players in the case have sold their souls that far to allow them to avoid prosecution, you can imagine who they are pointing the finger at: Pitino. The money trail proof that leads to McGee had to come from a direct testimony from him unless he was stupid enough to allow it to hit his bank accounts where the Feds can trace it. But in order to get that testimony, I am sure his attorney required immunity. After all, he is the one that actually paid Powell. He paid the cash for the illegal act. His testimony is a lot more important that a simple prostitution charge against either of them. It lays out the corruption within the coaching and administration at UL. That's the biggie.

It would be nice for that to be true. However, this is only seen by "us". RP recruiting has actually gotten a little better since the scandal. He will be back with NCAA tournament coverage and all will be forgotten
