Two most impressive players were
Keldon Johnson and R.J Barrett. Other players played well but those two stood out. Quickley looked good, patient running the offense. Zion looked good when he got to touch the ball. The kid Smith going to Maryland was also impressive with his motor and athletic ability.
Langford is a scorer but man he rarely looks to pass the ball. Jordan Brown is raw but he has SOOOOOO much potential. Likely struggles in year one then becomes a lotto pick in year two. Colby White and Nassier Little should start at UNC in year one. KU recruits are going to be nice backups. I’ll be shocked if KU doesn’t start the year as the number 1 team. Curious to see how Self manages a team that has 10 legit starting caliber players.

Have to add that Keldon Johnson showed exactly what I said when I compared him to MKG when it comes to motor and being a dog. He got scored on but when you scored you earned it because he doesnt just give up. Has potential as a shooter with his high arch. Made about two or three. The ones he missed he missed badly. He will likely have some great shooting games mixed in with some not so good ones. I say not so good instead of bad because he is smart enough to not just shot jumpers, he mixes it up with aggressive drives

I'm not that familiar with Kansas' team next year. I know they have yet another collection of transfers. But are you counting on Newman returning? If Newman goes, replacing their three top scorers might be a pretty big challenge. And Newman wanted to go before he ever arrived at MSU.
The Lawson brothers will give a big boost to KU if they dont catch any charges first. KU should be top 5 next year
I personally think the Lawson brothers are doomed to disappoint. The absolute epitome of the "world revolves around me" HS phenom.
And Self has kept KU at an elite level mainly through a succession of veteran guards. He's not going to have that next year, even if Newman comes back.
They'll be a threat, but I don't see them as any kind of FF favorite.

The former starting pg at Cal who’s name escapes me, Lawson bros, Azibuke, the back up freshman big who reclassified in dec, vick, Garrett, Dotson, Grimes, the big kid McCormick. I actually have Newman on the burner. I think he tests the water but ends up coming back due to mid second round interest. But wouldn’t surprise me if he leaves
Should easily be a favorite when you account for who they return and who they have coming In and what he other teams have returning and coming in. UK could easily be number two if they only lose Knox. The guard combo of Vick, Garrett, Dotson, Grimes and the Cal transfer who averaged 12pts 4ast while shooting 35% from three last year while teams focused on him. With a reality year to get bigger stronger and better he is going to be a problem

Also out played Graham and Newman a couple times and even most times in the practices. When he was transferring I was hoping Cal would try to get him

Or if you had seen them enough to know them by sight,it takes us till January to do that with our own players though.
KJ looked good and got a lot of praise from the guys. It was all about the phonies in durham mostly though ad nausea. I am most looking forward to the Nike Hoop Summit game.

Appeared that Keldon had several points and ran the floor really well but I'm not sure I was watching the right guy and the announcers sure weren't going to tell anyone anything.After more consideration I don't think the announcers can identify them in real time well enough to call the game.
Just watched this after taping it. Keldon Kohnson def top 5 judging by that scrimmage. I think the only kid that will be a consistent shooter for Duke is Reddish. ZION is tough driving but he is so much stronger than all these guys it is hard to tell if he can do that at will in college. Honestly the class as a whole is down compared to previous years.
Man, I forgot Kansas had all those kids sitting out. They have the Arizona St transfer as well. They will be tough on paper, let’s hope the Lawson brothers blow up that team.

The word on the street is both Vick and Newman are going pro somewhere after this season. Newman’s NCAA run makes leaving make sense. Vick I guess is just ready to move on. Will be a very deep team regardless, but who knows how the parts will fit together. I have heard Azubuike mentioned as a possibility for giving the NBA a look. Doesn’t mean it makes sense, not sure at all how his game will translate, just passing along the rumors.
I’m toying with the idea of Johnson/Knox on the wing.
I know the dream will die soon in all likelihood, but those two would be a helluva compliment to one another. Surround them with shooters in Gabriel, Quickley, Green, Herro and a few junkyard dogs on the glass in Washington/Vanderbilt?

Come on man, I hate Kansas as much as anybody but even if they lose all those guys they still have still have three McDonald’s all Americans two top transfers and prob the best center combo in the country.
Agreed; Weird how some on this board think that if Kansas loses a bunch of kids they will suck, but when UK has a roster overhaul they still will be top 5. Everything looks great on paper, but you have to let it play out
If Knox does return, I really like our starting five next year.
