1) Moving further and further away from Catholic teaching and doctrine. Unfortunately, he is more Jesuit than Catholic.Such as?
Jim and Stevewho got fired for going to Final Fours?
Jim was fired for NCAA violations and lying about it.Jim and Steve
Jim had just won it all and was canned and Steve went to 3 straight 16's and was canned. I mean, I guess not final fours but seems like we are all adults here and can understand hyperbole.
So, thanks for proving my point in an even better way?Jim was fired for NCAA violations and lying about it.
Steve had a few sweet sixteens and some crap seasons too. Not good enough for UCLA
that’s quite the hyperbole from the poster who takes every post literally.
Ben Howland would have been a better example, but he had lost control of that program at the end.
None of their coaches were fired for going to the Final Four. So, thanks for proving my point in an even better way?
Appreciate that.
Lavin have 4 sweet 16''s and an 8 and one losing season. Ha
So Jesuits are not Catholics?1) Moving further and further away from Catholic teaching and doctrine. Unfortunately, he is more Jesuit than Catholic.
2) Turning Creighton into a social justice warrior college at the expense of academics. (See #1)
3) Supports (and seems to promote) abortion. (See #1)
4) Poorly handled the COVID situation, going against "the science" (despite having a medical school). There is a lawsuit against the college for the medical and religious exemption process and he is leading the vindictiveness against the people who filed the lawsuit.
Those were just off the top of my head. Obviously my personal opinions (based on observations of having 2 of my kids attending there right now).
I was raised Catholic, attended Catholic grades school. I became a born again believer and a student of the Bible and spent some time studying the Catholic church. I am not a scholar on the subject. So Jesuits are not Catholics?![]()
Yes. Now you realize my/our dilemma. Laughingso the Pope may or may not be a Catholic, it’s complicated.
To be more accurate, Nebraska is 10-14 in conference. In the conference? In the B1G, NU is a top 10-15 job.
This poster knows what is going on. I too have 2nd hand knowledge of things there. It is repulsive to have staff there that literally have professors tell the students who they should vote for, and that candidate promotes abortion. Or professors that tell them that if you're white, you're the problem. Or locking the place down to the point it was difficult, or near impossible, to get your belongings from campus housing after the semester ended. Also allowing BLM protest on campus expecting white kids to be submissive to it.1) Moving further and further away from Catholic teaching and doctrine. Unfortunately, he is more Jesuit than Catholic.

People send their kids there to get, what would appear to be, a Catholic education, and instead find it to be as liberal as any other campus. My advice is to not do that, just go to any university if that is what you want, and save some money.
Go on...........LOL - parents sending their kids to a Jesuit school and then being surprised that their kids are getting a Jesuit education
I hope their kids are better at doing their homework than these parents.
I think most parents (me included) that have kids go there were expecting a traditional Catholic education, not a Jesuit education. I didn't know much about the Jesuits until they were already there. Would have preferred a Benedictine education as I learned more about the different orders, but it is what it is at this point. Creighton mostly markets itself as a Catholic university, not so much as a Jesuit university. The environment has changed with Hendrickson as President.LOL - parents sending their kids to a Jesuit school and then being surprised that their kids are getting a Jesuit education

Newbie poster on the other board says he is resigning soon. No idea if true, but new post.
Jesuits are Catholic and if you didn’t know Creighton was a Jesuit Catholic University you didn’t do much research. Better yet zero DD. For what it's worth, I have heard that Creighton is actually one of the more "conservative" Jesuit universities - if you can believe that.
