Without going too much into it again yeah - Caleb is a liability on offense as Pike has primarily used him for last two plus years and it hurts us more than his defense helps us
Sure but that last part “how much his defense helps us” is a relative metric. Apples and oranges this year vs last is what I was pointing out. Last year you would not only have been swapping for a much better alternative defender (Tez) but you’d also have 2 other elite defenders in the game at the same time often (MJ and JY).

Anything to add about the importance of this other than saying it’s nonsense?

Over their careers even Geo only avg 2 FT attempts a game, Paul .8 FT a game.

Relative to other aspects of the game the difference between these guys shooting 67% and 75% is almost a non-factor.
Last year, we have Geo and Young handling the ball late in games.. both shot FTs well.

Caleb's FT% is not 65% this year.. it is 49%. That is unacceptable for a point.

Now, in your favor he played well this last game. THAT Caleb could be a point. He did NOT hold the ball too long.. did NOT only look for his shot and then pass only if forced to..

Can you guarantee that we will get THAT Caleb every game from now on?

As long as the team that just beat Clemson shows up the rest of this year I don't care who plays what.
