Bobby Knight wasn’t shabby as an analyst? Listening to him do a ballgame was as enjoyable as watching paint dry.
I think ESPN just didn’t renew his contract. Smart move.
Wes Durham and Packer will do the ACC network games next year. I like Durham
Don't deny that Jay sometimes offers some insight, BUT how many times do you hear him or Bilas say something complimentary about Duke versus whomever we are playing/ Didn't they both pick FSU to win? Or just one of them? And is it a surprise that either or both of them picked us NOT to win the NC? Hell, I would rather listen to Billy Packer again, than either one of them.I think Jay is one of the best in the business and is extremely objective. We seem to focus on his criticism of Duke since he’s a Duke grad, but whatever he speaks about is generally a valid point. If he speaks about our poor shooting for example, that’s objectively true. He tells it how it is regardless if we want to hear it or not.
Bilas knows his stuff this much is true, but his moans of ecstasy everytime UNC made a shot were just disgusting. Agreed, I'd rather listen to Hubert Davis over Jay.Don't deny that Jay sometimes offers some insight, BUT how many times do you hear him or Bilas say something complimentary about Duke versus whomever we are playing/ Didn't they both pick FSU to win? He's moved on to White.I was concerned about Jay when he was Harrison Barnes's personal stalker.
