Affidavit from NW president
basically -“the vote was 11-3”
goodbye
I agree, as there’s no guarantee that the no votes will vote to play before next season.IMO they need two votes. First vote should be whether they resume play as a conference. Second vote should come after that IF the first vote is a no. Then they should vote on whether to permit schools that want to play on their own this year to do so.
In any event they better not drag it out any longer or the decision gets made for them by the calendar.
I bet your happy about the vote
Exactly how it should be done at this point. It’s obvious some schools/teams aren’t down while some are.Ohio legislatures are saying if B1G votes not to play let each school play their own schedule. #$%&# the conference

not at all - but I bet the lawyers fleecing the Nebraska parents are giddy to charge a bunch of legal fees to confirm what was known prior to all the legal work - at minimum all the PR that the state will eat up as a result of this process.
that the vote was overwhelmingly in favor of postponing and that the vote was 11-3
glad to know after all the legal wrangling they have smoked out that indeed the vote was 11-3

However other presidents stated that no vote occurred, then I believe Warren said the vote was 12-2 or something like that. So which was it, 11-3, 12-2 OR no vote at all. Several presidents have said publicly (I don't remember a vote taking place, or I'm not sure there was ever a vote, at least one that I was not part of). I think here lies the issue that everyone is having.

Without transparency no one knows the truth for sure. What makes sense to me from what I've read is that there was some kind of poll taken but it did not follow the official rules for voting in the conference. Some people think it wasn't valid because it didn't follow the official rules. Could be why there are so many mixed message floating around. However other presidents stated that no vote occurred, then I believe Warren said the vote was 12-2 or something like that. So many differing comments were made about the ‘vote’. Not everyone is as easily swayed as you to accept the original comment, especially with the ambiguity provided by so many involved in the process.the original comment was the vote was overwhelming in favor of postponing
now if people want to spend a bunch of money to clarify what overwhelming entails - and whether it was 11-3 or 12-2 - I'm sure the lawyers are more than happy to take their money
My understanding is that a vote is required under B10 by-laws. The public confusion of whether a formal vote was undertaken in accordance with that requirement is apparently the main impetus for Tom Mars' multiple FOIA requests. They have to follow the by-laws.They need to stop the stupid vote bull crap and just let each team opt to play or opt out. End of story.
Desmond Howard crying about this in 3........2........1........Ohio legislatures are saying if B1G votes not to play let each school play their own schedule. #$%&# the conference
I knew the fall season was really over when I heard Warren was in bed with the PAC12 commissioner. BIG 10 definitely needs an overhaul after this debacle.

I believe the judge has ruled that nothing with regards to the decision making process needs to be produced
just the preexisting bylaws and the vote count - the judge explicitly states that even who voted how does not need to be disclosed
no meeting minutes or any medical info produced to inform the vote need to be produced

Probably so. What a bunch of cowards. Tucked tail and ran. Right?I note the elder McCaffrey is no longer part of the suit
I wonder if he was collared by his school/conference much in the same way Frost was
Let em play. BIG owns media rights. What will the monetary gain for the schools that do play?? Would fox and other networks even want to deal with schools that do play because of contracts with BIG. Lots of details beyond what we see here to be settled before schools go independent.Exactly how it should be done at this point. It’s obvious some schools/teams aren’t down while some are.
Maybe this will help
I don't think this is trueColorado just decided to reverse its prior decision and proceed with fall High School sports including football. Hope the B1G does the same
