His game is pretty similar to Brandon Knight’s. I stand by it.
I’d like to see Hagans sit a little more. Let Maxey run the point and give Juzang some minutes. It seems like Hagans just needs to clear his head sometimes.
Maxey has been steadily improving, but let's be honest friends. He has struggled running the offense for much of the season. He looked pretty good tonight, though.
He hasn’t necessarily been given the keys and been able to play through his mistakes/learn either. The potential is there and he just looks so smooth with the ball in his hands. Not like the other guy who has ran it all year has been lighting the world on fire either lol.
No doubt, I won't argue. I love how Maxey has been playing. He may get his shot at running the point for an entire game if Hagans can't go Saturday.
Hopefully that isn’t the case, as much as I like what I saw. He’s still raw no doubt.
I seem to remember Knight being much more of a jump shooter and less of a finisher at the rim ala Maxey.
Knight had a very high IQ and could shoot the rock better. Yeah maxey is better at defense and can finish at the rim better, but you’re underrating knight. The dude was the point guard for a team that went to the final four (first time in 13 years) and hit huge shots against Princeton, and OSU in the tourney.
I said from the very start that he’s playing out of position, the kid played point all 4 years in high school, we’ll look back when he’s tearing it up in the NBA and wonder why he wasn’t running the show here at UK.
I get more of an SGA/ rich man’s Liggins vibe from Maxey.
I think he’s gonna be another one of those players that really hits their stride once they get to the league a la Booker, SGA, or Murray.

Maxey is gonna be a killer in March. I said he reminded me of a bigger De’Aaron Fox and I stand by that. Straight baller and playmaker.
