I just don't see either happening. Here is why, the 2 boys who were in the video, secretly filmed it, and they dispersed the video to half the school have already been to court and as far as I understood were not convicted of a Felony( distribution of child porn, same thing MO is charged with) They were given probation. So I find it very hard to believe MO, who had nothing to do with it, and 3 years later will get convicted.

Here is the things you are not taking into account.

1 -The 2 boys who originally filmed the encounter were minors.

2 - The school administration told all of the students, who had a copy of the video, to delete the video. Washington appears to not have deleted his copy.

3 - The 2 boys weren't charged with the revenge porn law, which, in my opinion, could be validated by the fact that Washington appears to have kept the video even after he was told to delete it.

Again, I am not saying that Washington will be or should be over punished. I am just saying that I don't believe comparing the 2 boys situation to Washington's situation is your best argument for why Washington shouldn't be punished.

There is a reason Frost is stacking RB talent like cord wood. The situations of Mo and Mills are dicey.
And then there's this. Here's hoping the kid can get out of his own way and join the list of great NU RBs.

The legal issue is certainly an important element. The academic element is very important. The third element is extremely important (don't ask).

I made my prediction and I have my reasons. I hope I'm wrong because it will mean M.W. figured some things out and in the end will be a better person. If he can get through all of this, there will be no stopping this kid. And for selfish reasons, I hope he makes it through all of this because Nebraska needs more running backs.

Or you may be wrong about the third element. Time will tell.

I agree, I think he will be charged with the revenge porn and probably should be. Im saying if the original boys were not charged with a felony. There is little chance MO will be. That is the charge that people are getting hung on. They see "child porn" and freak out. I just don't see that charge sticking. I don't think he would be kicked off the team for a misdemeanor charge alone.

Husker2612......you continue to use the fact that the two boys in the video were not charged. They were only 15 years old at the time. They were minors. Mo was 18 years old. An adult. I dont know what will happen to him. But it might not be good.
