Nothing too big. Basically stuff he'd been talking about for a while that he says people confirmed is true. That Kentucky basketball isn't doing much to help people with NIL and players (aside from Oscar mostly) didn't do as well as they expected and didn't do as well as other schools in the SEC. Said that Cal's less than great relationship with boosters is partly to blame because Stoops is getting the boosters donating and doing NIL for football. Said again that there was drama in this team, Cal "didn't have a good year" but relationships were better toward end of year. Said Livingston was never happy.

I am not one of his fans, but sounds about right. So the NIL people want him gone too. If he doesn't do the job this year I could see him gone.

So basically our boosters won't help pay NIL because of the coach? I'm sorry but as fans they should support UK basketball and want to help provide whatever to get the best team.

Not surprised calipari has alienated everyone though.
I disagree. Even if they should support the program, it doesn't mean they should throw their money away if they disagree with how it's being run.

UKs NIL pitch doesn't work because its non-sense.

No kid - who has major NIL value should ever commit to a school without knowing up front what they're going to make. The idea that the "UK Brand" is enough and that they should trust that UK will get them paid is idiotic and arrogant thinking. Its 2023 - UKs still obviously a blueblood and an elite brand but that matters less and less to these major transfers because most of these major transfers just want to make NIL money because the vast majority of them have no future in the NBA. So the idea that somebody like Hunter Dickinson should just trust that UK will get him paid and he should go there over Kansas is dumb especially considering KU was offering him specific amounts and a more competitive and better program over the last 4-5 years.

Cal's schtick appeals to one and done high school kids and thats why you've seen him load him on them this year even though a team of Freshman won't win in today's game. NIL and major transfers aren't buying what Cal and UK are selling because its a backwards and arrogant pitch that sells the idea that the UK "brand" is enough.

I think this will be his last year regardless. 4-5 of the freshman will turn pro. He won’t sign anyone for 24 class and he will give us the middle finger and blame NIL.
Could very well happen and he try to go to a Bigger City where he can poach Big NIL donors

Their show is headed in the same direction as Kentucky basketball and the entire program would be better off if Matt, Mitch, and John all disappeared off the face of the earth and we started from scratch.

I used to be a fan of the show and enjoy almost everything they did and talked about. However, it has had the feel of them trying (too hard) to live up to a certain expectation or something for the past few years. Everything is forced, regurgitated, and they try way too hard to make it a comedy show. Sure, they’ll always have the cult of Andy, Casey, John short, Jay, j rock, etc., but if we’re being honest the show has become one giant RATINGS HIT AND ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR LOCAL RADIO SHOWS IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY.
FIFY.

When does he finally come out as gay? I’m sure he hasn’t yet because it’ll hurt the brand, but come on buddy. We all know by now. You talk about your mom nonstop, you defend the lgmdbdjrntq community at all costs, and you call your best friend “Hubby”. Come on bruh

Right. I’m sure most every major donor is like all of us & has loved UK basketball since they were old enough to know what it is. And, they’ve watched one man tear the program apart to the point that it isn’t even recognizable, anymore & the only hope of regaining some semblance of the past is to get rid of the problem & start over with a new coach. I can’t imagine that anyone who really loves UK basketball is lining up to throw more $ at anything that would benefit Calipari & continue to prolong this abomination.

It also kinda flies in the faces of the few here who say that nobody who matters has a problem with Calipari & that NIL isn’t an issue. Whether MB’s balls ever drop or not, he’s gonna have to address it, eventually, bc when the $ dries up, your fate is sealed. And, he should be held just as accountable as Calipari, if not more, for allowing the nonsense to go on as long as it has. I didn’t think apathy & UK basketball were words that would ever be associated, together. But, Calipari has created more of it than every other UK coach combined & it’s still growing by the day.

Who on this team was a marketing dream? I mean if I were a hospital or medical service, maybe I'd have sought CJ Fredrick out. Sahvir Wheeler for weight loss or personal training service? The dynamic personality of Antonio Reeves--who reportedly made 6 figures.....like what do these guys expect? And the #1 lie in NIL is what people actually make contrasted to what they are promised by schools.

A school should hire an NIL department and help market the athletes. But end of day it's no different than pro sports--top players and those who have personality are going to be more attractive to endorse you over guys who are role players and have the Q rating of a mime.

Matt, Ryan and Drew even until early this year keep saying

"No other coach I want at UK but Cal" even with all the nonsense, the poor records vs ranked team, the Shady Sharpe fiasco, 9-16 season, can device an inbound play, playing all the high ranked kids come hell or highwater, won't play shooter heavy lineups, lies on injury reports, ducking end of year media, etc

So his words sort of ring hollow at this point.
