This doesn’t portend well for Pike landing one of the bumper crop of local guards for 2022.

Three of our rotation are from New Jersey, plus a walk on. Would like to see us do more with the Washington-Baltimore area. If I were a HS star from NJ, would prefer to go away from the NY-NJ area, like to Stanford or UCLA.

I just meant that it would be disappointing if we didn’t land one of Floyd, Armstrong or Harris, and the fact that Pike just doled out another offer to a 2022 guard suggests that he’s not confident that he will land one them.

Or it could mean he just wants more guards, of course.

Not really. We've offered class of 2021 guys who won't end up a high-major. Meanwhile Pikiell signed top-150 Jaden Jones.

Just because we offered this guy doesn't mean it's committable or that he's a priority. If he blows up this winter then it'll be nice to have been the first high-major to offer.

PS: He has a Fairfield offer so I'm guessing Jay Young has seen him. Maybe there's some chatter happening that we don't know about.

PPS: We potentially have a lot of scholarships opening for the class of 2022. It's not like the class of 2019 when we had one (turned into two when Thiam got kicked off) and it was all-in on Mulcahy.

Are you kidding? This kid can flat out score and he’s no set shooter. He can put in the hoop from anywhere and he’s quick off the dribble. I bet this kid has a ton of offers before all is said and done. He would be a nice addition
