That’s always been confusing to me. When they changed their flag somebody told me “they got rid of the confederate symbolism”. I just laughed.

I'm sure it's because the battle flag is what's used by the KKK and other hate groups. The stars and bars is barely recognizable to many. I think they're on uneasy ground though, and I would bet they change it (again) at some point in the not too distant future.

I don't mean to take away from the gravity of our flag issue, but once it's been (hopefully) removed, then Georgia had better be next on the agenda.
