Dude is my coach and he gets it. He gets Husker football and what it means. F you if you aren’t on board. There are things for him to address, and I think it will happen.

I'm not getting on board until Ed Foley's down syndromed *** is off the team. I real coach would have pulled that string already.

Why didn’t he address it last year ?

Then why are Foley and Satt still on staff?
If Foley’s contract is renewed, then feel free to nuke this thread. I don’t think his contract is going to be renewed. Satt? Realistically, he can hurt this offense no more. I suspect he also will be gone soon enough.

People who are pissed this year don’t want to admit how bad we have been. We took legit steps this year and it’s part of the process.

Longest bowl-less drought in all of college football. Not Kansas, Not Vandy, the freaking Huskers. Rhule is here to fix it and after taking steps with a true freshman quarterback to move the needle this year the foundation is being set.

Can’t wait for next year.

I choose not to ***** and moan. We tried to let BC back in the game but unlike recently we closed the deal. GBR! Here's to a better '25!

I think he's a good leader but special teams are HS level.
Disagree. My high school team knows when to catch KOs and when to let them go. They rarely if ever have punts blocked. PATs are routine and not cause for getting nervous. They almost never drop punts and normally have a fair amount of punt return yards every game. They make most of the FGs they should and some of the FGs they shouldn't.

Hford - I'd say our special teams are more on the middle-school level.

2 years in a row of the worst special teams in power football is inexcusable. Has a lot to work on with how he oversees the program. He is a very good developer on the lines and identifying talent. Made very poor decisions in some of his initial hires hopefully they all get corrected

Fair assessment. Our special teams were terrible under Frost as well. We we're clearly the better team today but had to escape bc of ST.

What I saw today was a lack of NFL talent on our side.

Singleton dropping the INT, multiple uncovered blitzes that were unsuccessful, poor special teams play, etc.

I’m excited to see what Rhule could do with real talent. We didn’t have it this year.

Tons of missed opportunities today but how about the mickey mouse special teams play? That's something we can control. We were lucky BC was a ****** team as well.

Agreed on the special teams play. That being said, if we had a few more NFL caliber players that game was a blowout.

Some of our younger guys may be NFL players, these older guys (especially in the secondary) are not

May have been a blowout with decent special teams. Certainly was trending that way. I don’t think we can underestimate how much special teams kept other teams in games this year.

If DBs could catch the ball, they would be WRs.

That’s not entirely true. That Singleton drop was a very routine catch and should have been returned for at least 20 yards

Do you not process info? Exactly what I said. WRs make routine catches. DBs do not.
I do. I don’t expect a DB to make a difficult catch. Singletons drop was as easy as it comes and we should absolutely expect a DB to make that play. Singleton didn’t drop that because he is a db, he dropped that because he’s not a very good player. We clearly disagree on this

Interesting activity on the sidelines when Satterfield was trying to talk to Raiola and Raiola just walked away from him.
Good

There is not one single word Raiola needs to hear from Satterfield

I really wish we would pay him not to coach or be anywhere close to this program. It’s what he’s earned.

Rhule said in post game presser that there will be total overhaul of special teams. We'll see what that means re total

Our DB’s don’t drop those balls because they “our DB’s who can’t catch”. They drop those balls because they are not elite players who will play at the next level.

And since we're handing out F yous... F all of you who call him Satt. Are you his buddy or something? And F Matt Rhule if Foley's contract is renewed when Foley was the walking dead half way thru the season.

And F Matt Rhule for going soft when the team was up 20-2. That **** needs to stop. Put your foot on their throat until there is no more life.
He doesn't deserve to have his name spelled out

Does that have anything to do with what I said? I guess I'm going to take my time to teach someone how to actually think.
You are a simple thinker. If someone is a DB then they are a WR who can’t catch is your position. That is straight from EA sports NCAA football thinking. A video game, lol. What I am saying is that our DB’s didn’t make plays, not because they are DB’s but because they are not very good players (Hartzog, Singleton, Buford, etc.). You clearly don’t understand nuances

I don’t think you can fully trust a person that you’ve demoted to do the best performance they can.

Do you realize that you are babbling nonsense that has nothing to do with the conversation or point? The only thing I can do is just keep reiterating my point. If DBs could catch the ball they would be WRs. I am able to draw two conclusions from our interaction, 1 is that you never played competitive football and the other I'll just leave hanging out there.

I seem to recall a linebacker in the 95 national championship game (96 Fiesta bowl) against Florida by the name of Terrell Farley who jumped up, tipped the ball to himself, and then dropped it while he was thinking of the pick 6 he was about to make. It was the easiest INT you will ever see.

Yeah, defenders who drop balls have no talent.

Or maybe he took his eye off the ball before securing it… not that he wasn’t talented.

I’ll wait a little longer before I crown Rhule the savior of Husker football. I did that prematurely with similar posts for Pelini and Frost. Some positive steps, some unanswered questions. And yes, I will kindly F off because I am not overly impressed with another 3 win conference season.

Yea. We know there are some clouds in the sky, but today is a day for a little sunshine. Rahmir and Buddha struggled through the losing and incompetence of the Frost regime. Buddha finished as the leading tackler for NU on the day and Rahmir was MVP.

I will believe Rhule has made a positive impact on the program when the drama in the 4th quarter stops. It is ridiculous that there is always chaos and bad decisions made in the last quarter. It is reflective of bad coaching and it has been going on since Riley was the coach. Here is a good example. In one of the games the Huskers lost this season, I am not sure which one, DR began his slide before he reached the first down line. Today he did it again in the 4th quarter. That is just bad coaching that he doesn’t know to slide after he gets a first down.
