These guys don’t retire early. He would probably be coaching somewhere soon after being fired.
I don't know. I'm sure Jimbo would take a p5 head coaching job, but don't know if anyone would be interested in him at this point and don't think he would go down a level. He'd probably just enjoy his 86 million dollar golden parachute. With that said I bet they give him one more year to try and right the ship before they invest that much in a buyout. That would be 4x bigger than the biggest college football buyout ever.

or rhule is hc and this person, (his oc at the panthers)

comes with

while also assisting Mickey Joseph in coaching the LSU wide receivers. The youngest full-time coach on the LSU staff, Brady is an innovator that has learned offensive football from some of the best in the game.

Brady brings an extensive knowledge of the run-pass option (RPO) game to the Tiger staff, something that was evident during his first spring with the team.

and we heard the qb recruit about rpo..

I solve problems..it's what I do.

Sipple is doing the same thing we’re all doing – guessing. I won’t rule Rhule out until the University of Nebraska says otherwise.

Lord of reasons why he wouldn’t come here, it makes sense that he left without a deal

I take it back. Sipple might know something if certain people are trying to sabotage the coaching search to get their guy in. :(

Jimbo going to WVA would be a blessing for A&M and save face for Jimbo. Jimbo could declare his love for his home state and say that is the only place he would ever leave College Station and A&M would get out from under the awful contract they have with Jimbo. Win-win

Ha, ha. Love all the contradictory and widely varying rumors. I don't know if Trev will get the pick right or not but you have to hand it to him about being able to keep a tight lid on the search. Must mean there's very, very few he's trusting to know what's going on.

Don't quote me on this, but I think that $85+ million buyout for Jimbo is fully guaranteed. Meaning, he'll get it all from aTm no matter if he coaches again or not. I don't think the aggies are getting out from under anything

Nobody knows **** about ****. And that includes EVERY sports writer and EVERY Tweeter and EVERY person on this board.
Well, that's kind of harsh. True but harsh nonetheless. :)

Not saying I believe Sip but what he writes makes good sense and leaves the door open to lots of possibilities.

Walking away from $80+ in buyout money is not a win-win.

I thought we heard that Auburn was interested in H. Freeze and Lane Kiffin and possibly Deon S…

This is Sipple on the radio talking about the search I thought was insightful

This is Pick Six and I thought was excellent and had some fun points.

Sipple and everyone else out there are attempting to use logic to determine the next HC. When you don't have actual info and there are no leaks from the school, you write things like....if it is not a current HC then why not announce him now......, or .....if Rhule isn't announced before the Iowa game it isn't him......

All of that is based on what has happened in past coaching hires, sans USC last year. The problem with that logic is that, until recently, most schools waited until the end of the season to make coaching changes. So using the tendencies of the past is pointless. Fans were spending October and November speculating on whether or not the coach would be fired, or what they had to do to keep their job, not who the next coach will be.

Probably the smartest thing you've ever said.

Sip isn’t a reporter he’s a entrainer, if he was a actual reporter he would have informed his followers about the **** show frost had going on and a good possibility frost would have been fired in 2020 and we wouldn’t be in the mess we are now. Personally I don’t trust any of the local sports media because they withheld information

Nebraska sports media are about the softest group of spoon-fed lapdogs as exist on the planet

You can still apply logic to this hire. I’m just not sure that Sipple is capable of that. I’ve posted several times that Rhule or BOB would probably be the most logical hires given their resumes and availability. Rhule is the most logical but that has little bearing on who Trev thinks the best guy is. WAY too many factors in this deal to even make an educated guess. It’s fun to discuss though

Highly unlikely anybody knows anything except Trev Alberts and Doug Ewald. My guess is Trev has more than one finalist. I hope its Rhule.

Without a doubt fun to discuss and of course you can use logic. That doesn't mean you know anything about the actual hiring process, which was the point of my post.

To me, my logic says that if your deciding between Lance Leipold, Jeff Monken and Mickey Joseph, you go with Mickey Joseph because he has the best track record on the recruiting trail and has publicly stated that Nebraska needs better players and has a love for the university.

Logically though Monken gives you your OC with a ring. You know what you’re getting. That’s going to give you a lot of gravitas in a living room too. Then you add to that the fact that he already has relationships built with some top recruits. IMO Mickey’s ability to recruit is going to be dulled by the stank of this year

He's coaching nowhere. He has a great gig, doing nothing while getting paid for it... For at least a year
