Matt Rhule is embarrassing

This appears to be a nothingburger and there is nothing to suggest anything untoward by Rhule. Interestingly, it appears the Nebraska media seem to like Rhule and actually feel he is too nice at times.
This from the school with the universally worst reputation for fan behavior toward visiting teams? Consider the source.
What if James did this? This board would burn down.
So that makes it ok to refuse to shake hands before the game?
Poor treatment begets poor treatment. It’s not how I would have handled things, but I understand how it can happen.
I’m sure there is a lot more here than what is being reported.
Am I misremembering that Iowa players refused to shake hands with PSU players one year under Ferentz? Honest question.
Nope, that was Maryland that refused.
I think it's possible Ruble addressed it .... but his fast talking made it impossible for anyone to decipher it.
I didn’t say that. But Nebraska was never a success with honor program. It was always win at all costs.

As a Penn Stater, I'm proud to see that Matt Rhule (also a Penn Stater) turning Nebraska around. If the Nebraska media think Rhule is "too nice," then he probably is. Who knows what precipitated the pre-game non-handshake.

Classless. This surprises me coming from Rhule, I'd have thought he's better than this.
just cringy, and that term gets used too much but man I feel awkward and embarrassed just watching it, being on the Nebraska side of it would feel worse than being on the Iowa side of it in my opinion
Post game hecklers vs. pregame classlessness are two very different things in my opinion. But James would get torched by SWH guys and you can't deny that.
It will be interesting to hear Rhule’s answers when questioned about this. I saw the quick interview they did with him before the game and he was jovial, even complimented Iowa’s crowd and the atmosphere as they were about to kickoff. The childish handshake stunt was odd.
Right now I’m thinking he didn’t know about it beforehand, which is why he didn’t talk about it after the game. He’ll address it soon enough.
The board would rightly rip him for allowing that behavior, as they did Maryland and now Nebraska for doing it too.

It’s not a good look by Rhule - and especially bad when you lose.
I remember Nebraska fans saying “Sal is dead, go big red” when Colorado’s QB died.
