First off, love the screen name!!! Especially if you're an older timer like your post suggest. Just love it, kudos!
Second, sometimes I feel bad for them and then some UL idiot will show him arse by deflecting blame and not taking any responsibility and then I don't feel so bad. Also, until Pitino takes some responsibility for what happened, I can't feel that bad for the program. He has to take responsibility before the healing can begin.
Lots of interesting angles in this thread. I'm drawn more by those who suggest it's Jurich or a former player. Might be UK or UL. Maybe for their own personal reasons,, but also because they truly care about the program and winning the right way. I'll give them that much credit. Kenny Payne is certainly one former UL player like that. Not that I'm even remotely suggesting he's the one.
Maybe a little bird told him?
The insanity of that 9 page witch hunt thread is very unsettling. They have literally ZERO proof except some bald assertion made by "Captain Suntan," the UL radio host trying to be their version of Matt Jones (and failing horribly, based on his ratings).
They would be more than content to see that guy's life ruined, his business destroyed, his family, friends, and co-workers harassed, etc. etc.
They, as a collective fanbase, are truly cracking up.
They're also turning on each other more than ever. Anyone who DARES step outside the accepted marching orders (Deny and blame anyone but UL) is immediately labeled a UK fan and attacked mercilessly.

I've mentioned this before, and I'm sure others can back up what I've heard FOR YEARS.
There is no love lost between many of the people associated with Denny Crum and the Pitino/Jurich crowd.
I have a source VERY close to the "old" regime and let me tell you, some are still burning hot with rage about how the whole move was handled.
But its been a long time now, what, 15 years?

Nah..no one's whining..we are laughing at you actually..that someone you've never met, who you have a choice in listening to literally puts you into comedic fits of rage. It's hilarious...I would generally just channel my energy and emotions elsewhere...but if it upsets you that much..go for it.
I can only imagine what my life would be like if say a TV personality or news corresponder bothered me that badly...I'd probably seek treatment...nah in reality I'd just turn it off and go about my life...but that's me

I read some of that and you're right. They are really flapping their wings (and gums) about the mole or moles. It's hilarious and I love every bit of it. Lap dances all 'round!!!
My only conclusion is he must have pounded your wife or girlfriend since you are so emotional about him. I don't give two chits about Jones, but to ignore his timing on releasing certain info is plain ignorant.

Yeah, I thinking Tony Vanetti as well. He seems to be pretty good friends with Matt, and he has been voicing his displeasure with what's going on a Louisville for some time.

There are a very limited number of people truly in the know. As much as it tickles me to think of Denny Crum as Deepthroat, it doesn't work. He doesn't have routine access to top level info. Nor does Vanetti or any other media guy, nor does the PR firm. It almost has to be a board member or someone in the executive suite.....
No doubt in my mind th source is coming from people who are in Denny Crums camp, former player or players, guys who feel,like the new regime is an embarrassment and the fact this went down pretty ugly with Crum. You can read the players of Denny, they have for most part been critics of the sypher deal and the way this went down. Some of Denny's players felt like UL threw sanctions to get rid of Denny and make it look like he had to go. Jurich doing this to force Denny out and to get Rick in. Denny's was a bit of rougue assistant so think Crums players thinking paybacks are hell.
I think you can narrow down as someone who is either a former Denny player or someone supplying a former player with the on going talks, I have a a hunch it is former player successful business man, member of BOT and is Denny player. Probably getting info to share or getting 1st hand info.
