Matt Jones is obsessed with UL's negativity.
Don't know any other way to put it.
It's getting really old to the long time UK crowd, so I cut back my listening.
It may be fun for the younger crowd, but when is enough enough?
I'm a huge fan of UK since birth, but I have close friends who are UL fans. Isn't fun for them, and I don't marinate in their tough time.

Overall, I think it's sad. Not funny. Not exciting.
I married into a UL family. Father-in-law, Brother-in-law, his wife and one of my wife's 2nd or 3rd (I forget b/c I don't really care) cousins all graduated from UL. Not just sidewalk fans, mind you, they graduated from UL with actual degrees, 2 of which from the speed school of engineering. Not to claim that this is any true feat of accomplishment, but, nonetheless. My own wife spent a semester at UL in the early 90's on a voice scholarship before she switched gears on her intended major... a time on which when she reflects, feels compelled to reiterate the message from her freshman orientation when she and the other girls were explicitly instructed to "Stay away from the football dorms at night and never walk past them alone."

I have had to look at and deal with these people at every family gathering since 1999 and let me be clear in stating that they have never once reserved judgment or restrained candor in their disdain for UK in general or their own joy when UK falters or fails in even the slightest sense. Let me also be clear in conveying my complete and total satisfaction in seeing that second-rate commuter school being brought to its knees by nothing more than unbridled lust for sporting superiority over their in-state rival in Lexington. Due to this proven pattern of long-term behavior, I now waste no opportunity to point a finger and shoot milk out my nose while laughing at these people. Schadenfreude at its finest and I have no qualms admitting to such feelings.

I suggest you get over yourself, remind your friends of the type of school and its leaders they willingly choose to support and why, and enjoy this while you can. I also suggest you stop using this situation that UL itself created (not Jones and not UK or its fans) as a mask for casting shade on those who do enjoy witnessing such a righteous manifestation of Karmic comeuppance.

This is the perfect example of why they're little brother. Most little brothers are jealous of everything big brother does.

Wrong, so wrong.... you are either a UL fan or don't know any other UK fans

Matt said its 3 or 4 people giving him info. Crum and Jurich could be 2 of them. Wouldn't that be crazy?

UNC is the one people really need to be harping on.
Anybody that thinks that 'things' don't happen at EVERY university in the country are very naive. Not saying the same thing as UL, but there are other things.
I know this to be true.

What UNC has done and probably still is doing is leagues above what happened at UL. I'm not a UL fan, nor do I really care what happens to them, but I will say there are a lot of people tired of hearing about it. Let it go already.

Focus on our team and where we might go this year.

Guess I'm just tired of hearing about hookers and Powell, Pitino and Jurich, UL and L1C4, and all other related items.

I hate when people say "things happen at all universities" as if that's a good excuse.

Bobby Petrino
Bobby Petrino is Jurich's secretary and a closet UK fan? Just kidding, I know BP is actually his b**ch since ol' Tom is the only D-1 AD that would hire him; that alone makes you question TJ's intelligence. But then again, they did compare him to the group in question and not intelligence in general.

On their scout board they have picked a guy that they think is the mole based upon a mountain of evidence summarized in the following list:
1.) He tweeted at Matt Jones one time about dessert wine.

They literally want this guy to get fired, and want UL to stop doing business with his company, and maybe just have the entire company have to shutter their business and have everyone lose their jobs based upon one twee to Matt Jones about wine.

A better question is why does Matt still have to send his lemmings over here in order to try and get his own site attention?

Self-promotion trumps all else with these types. I've said it before, when Marc Maggard came along Jones completely adopted his style as his own and never looked back. Right down to the Maggettes that flock to every thread to defend his every word and especially the ones that keep posting "MJ said..." threads on this board as free advertisement. Marc Maggard 101 playbook over and over again. Probably will end the same way, too.
Pleeeasseee, shut up

I'm getting this way to tbh. At first when this stuff broke I felt vindicated after years of taunts and jokes about Calipari and UK's history with the NCAA but honestly it has gotten old quick.

I'm still curious how it will all play out, but my brother is a die hard UL fan and I work with and am friends with several other good UL fans that I enjoyed talking basketball with and now I can't really do that.

My brother is pretty much a football fan only now. I don't think he's watched a basketball game at all this season.

Wouldn't it be neat if his source turned out to be Jurich who is using Mr. Jones in an attempt to save his own job. I think that would be hilarious. It definitely gives us a chance think more highly of Matt Jones since someone is trusting him to spread truthful info coming from inside the ul organization. All I can say to Matt is keep up the good work.
