Matt finds very subtle ways to interject liberal thoughts on most every show. I listen cuz I love UK talk but it's very obvious he has a liberal agenda. He would never hire a conservative on his show or his site. And it's obvious..ala Drew Franklin...he strongly encourages them to help spread his agenda.

I love his radio show.

It's the top rated show in the entire state, regardless of genre even though he mixes in pop culture and politics.

I'm moderately conservative and I could not care less about his politics but many act as though he's an extreme leftist when he's really moderately liberal. (I have a B. S. in Political Science so I have at least an elementary understanding of the topic)

I like that he can talk about Harambe and the national conventions during the summer when no relevant UK news is popping up daily and I'm still entertained.

The majority of the posters on this board are great but it has also been known as Rupp's Raftards for nearly a decade for good reason.

The truth is in the middle....

this board is about half idiots. but, the other half are knowledgeable people that have great conversations. both groups entertain me.

LOL. Yes he most certainly did. He even doubled down on it by trying to embarrass posters on the air. Matt was in full Greyson Allen mode today. Which by the way was an epic fail as you can see from the responses here. Nobody was embarrassed. He ridicules people for doing exactly what he does. I especially love the mocking of people's screen names if they happen to have a number in it as if that discredits them for some reason. "...and this from docholliday52, not to be confused with docholiday 51...". Keep in mind Matt's original screen name was jamalmagloire52. Not to be confused with jamalmagloire51 by the way.

My apologies! Actually couldn't listen to yesterday (now) show. I thought you were referring to the show on Wednesday. My bad! I don't know what he said yesterday. People were claiming he said that on Wednesday's show too, that's why I replied. Sorry!

Sounded to me like he took a shot at tom leach when he was talking about the email he got. Said he's not gonna sit there and talk about facts and do the "Kentucky numbers to know...Kentucky has 2,215 career wins..". Doesn't leach do a segment kind of like that? I haven't listened to his show much, but seems like I've heard him do something like that.

No Tom Leach does not sit down for an hour and read off UK statistics. I listen most every day and today he had on several very in touch guests (Evan Daniels for one) who talked about a BB recruit UK may get a commitment from and he talked about things like Fox's shooting, Tom Leach has a UK sports show and does not spend time on juvenile matters. He brings facts and information Matt Jones is not privy to. Tom has inside information on recruiting from sources Matt Jones does not know. Matt is juvenile entertaining but not as informative as Tom Leach.

Two years ago I went to Meijers to pick up a few items. I was with my SIL and grandsons. I was waiting at the deli counter when he walked up to me and looked at my UK hat. He said, "Do you know me?" I just replied not really......he went on about some kind of song. I kind of wandered off and left him with my SIL. I saw him there another time but was able to avoid him. Hell, I have performed on stage at small events......I have never walked up and asked someone if they knew me....

He didn't sound like that at all. Hmm. Mind blown.

I assume this is sarcasm. I graduated from UK law school but I can assure you if I had a full ride to Duke law school, I would have gone there. Duke is one of the top law schools in the nation.

All radio call in shows are radio shows. Not all radio shows are call in shows.

From thaT, UMM deduces that all radio news casters are snobs.

If you want to call into shows there are plenty available. Call in shows are for entertainment only. I would rather listen to a knowledgeable person who has inside information from real UK sources interview guests who know what they are talking about. I am not knocking your man Matt, just saying if that is your source for UK sports you are most often left in the dark. If you worked for the university would you give up inside information to a talk show host who acts like a clown and has minions around him who are clueless. You probably would. But most sensible people would not

Matt likes to close his show with a political opinion without allowing for a response. I guess he thinks Kentuckians are uninformed and his opinion is the absolute truth.

His latest remarks were an attack on the Right to Work principle. His comments reveal that he thinks Americans should not have the right to choose what is best for them.

Matt's future is in sports broadcasting, but he can't get politics out of his head. He regularly speaks of entering politics. What a mistake that would be.

I hope he does not wake up one day to the reality of a lost future. He is obviously a smart guy, but he has not yet realized that it's about business, not politics.

I've listened to the show more this week, and it is just such poor quality compared to the other shows I listen to in the Nashville area. I get that MJ only talks about UK stuff while most other talk shows talk about a lot of sports topics (obviously not fair to compare MJ to a national show) but even the local Nashville shows are much more interesting than his show. I can listen a bit to get my UK fix but it's not like the whole show is interesting UK basketball/football talk day in and day out. It just isn't.

Jones' show got old to me.

I actually think now that Cross isn't on the show anymore, that show is better for sports talk. Cameron and Lawrence.

Jones rambles about too much bs that nobody cares about. Can't stand a radio person that interrupts EVERYBODY at EVERY juncture.

These guys want input from audience listeners, but won't let them talk.
