No.Travis Graf mentioned it.Probably somebody on this very board made it up and the spread began.

Agreed.Nowell was a senior, Dillingham wont be a senior.
Kansas State spread the court with effective outside shooting, we have Cal.
I said our highly ranked guards….We had plenty of pg's Cal totally underevaluated, some of them AFTER coaching them a full season: Harrow, Hagans (2 years), Wheeler (2 years), Greene and Askew.
We trusted Cal knew what he was looking at with those guys, turned out he was way off and he actually coached Wheeler and Hagans for a full season and STILL thought they were UK material.
Good point. Who was the last composite top 10 PG to come in?I said our highly ranked guards….
Harrow was #25 overall
Hagans #12 overall (may be the only good example to refute my point, but he also reclassified and was not horrible imo)
Wheeler transfered and was never viewed as an elite talent
Askew was #32 overall in his class.
None of those guys were top 10 and viewed as elite guards other than maybe hagans
Yeah he can finish at the rim for sureLayup game. Rob has it and it’s indicative of being a stud offensive player. If you don’t know what I mean by layup game just know that no player on last years team had it.
Hagans was way better than the rest, if his mental game was stronger.I said our highly ranked guards….

I think from what I’ve seen of him that he can be really good. Maybe Cal will screw it up but generally he does well with talent.Yeah, but Nowell was a senior from Rucker park, Dillingham will be a freshman, that’s a big difference and I really think we should be careful with comparing this kid to guys like Fox, Nowell and Ulis (incredibly, all 3 of those names have been thrown out in this thread as guys that Dillingham COULD be, that’s just crazy).
I mean, it's pretty odd that after everytning we have seen the last few years that we still have fans falling for the hype. We are already doing it and I guarantee you by December we'll be talking about how these kids were overrated.
Remember who the coach is and he's already talking about putting Bradshaw at the 3.
First of all, he's been compared to Ulis, Kyrie and Fox, are you blind? We do have some real idiots. NO ONE said is saying he is as good as Tyler Ulis or any of the others mentioned. YOU are the one saying he cant compete in the SEC because he weighs 170 pounds, which is a ludicrous statement!!
you were talking about him weighing 170 poundsSo, are you saying Dillingham is at Fox's level?
Know who else was around that same size? Ryan Harrow.
Now, I think Dillingham could be very, very good, but I'm not going to just dive right in on the hype, these dudes need to prove it on the court
Well, hopefully he gets to 185, it would sure help.If someone says that a guy that size can't play in the SEC, a logical response would be to show players that have succeeded at that size.
Kyle Tucker also had an article about OTE, discussing their supplements and meals programs directly in reference to Dillingham, so I think he's grown a bit since these measurements came out. At 6'2, he said his plan was to get to 185 lbs.
And you used a guy that is an exception to what is normal. Do you know how many guys his size don't typically even see the court their freshman year?you were talking about him weighing 170 pounds
i just gave you an example of a player that weighed exactly that
Doesn't matter if Askew is 6'3" or 6'2" (I've seen both), some dudes struggle at this level that looked good in HS.Umm Devin Askew is 6’3.
My response was about small players still being able to thrive. Just like the folks who claimed Anthony Davis was too thin to produce right away.
I’ve compared Dillingham to a mix of Ryan Harrow and Marquis Teague so I’m thinking you have me confused with the wrong guy.
Not to mention, I’ve said many times I don’t believe Dillingham ever plays a game for UK.
If Cal doesn't figure out a way to spread the court, I don't care who we have in the backcourt, we won't have success getting to the rim.I think from what I’ve seen of him that he can be really good. Maybe Cal will screw it up but generally he does well with talent.
This!!!If Cal doesn't figure out a way to spread the court, I don't care who we have in the backcourt, we won't have success getting to the rim.
Beating one guy off the bounce is one thing, beating 2 and sometimes 3, is a whole different challenge.
I know this isn't good way to look at things. But I have already all but given up on next season. I will watch them all root like hell for the Cats. But I expect a repeat of this past season. If not worse. Wouldn't shock me if they don't even make the tournament. That’s good news, but I'm trying to figure out how a 170lb guard is going to survive in the SEC and NCAAT.
Who knows, maybe his slender size paired with his quickness and ball handling, will give him an advantage.
well most top rated freshmen doAnd you used a guy that is an exception to what is normal. Do you know how many guys his size don't typically even see the court their freshman year?
You quoted my post jackass and said there are some real idiots on here, directed straight towards me. I just made a statement that Ulis competed and did just fine at probably 140 pounds, not one time did i even hint that he was as good as Ulis, that remains to be seen. You are exactlyFirst of all, he's been compared to Ulis, Kyrie and Fox, are you blind?
Second of all, I never said he couldn't compete, I said it's a concern, given his size. That’s it.
Learn reading comprehension.
Not sure what you're getting at. I said I had concerns with Dillingham's slender build competing against grown *** men and you guys are comparing him to Ulis, Fox and Kyrie and I simply said those guys are the outliers, there are thousands of guys thst size that never succeeded.well most top rated freshmen do
do i really need to quote what you said
Well, I called a spade a spade, deal with it.You quoted my post jackass and said there are some real idiots on here, directed straight towards me. I just made a statement that Ulis competed and did just fine at probably 140 pounds, not one time did i even hint that he was as good as Ulis, that remains to be seen. You are exactlythe one who doubted he could compete at 170 pounds, which shows your ignorance. I can comprehend just fine, maybe you should think before you strike.
Yes being good a top player in general regardless of size is an outlier to the general rule. You said size/weight concern you and people have cited multiple examples of people who are small and still performed and you just keep coming back to it being an outlier which doesn’t make sense. He is ranked highly even though those ranking take size into account…Not sure what you're getting at. I said I had concerns with Dillingham's slender build competing against grown *** men and you guys are comparing him to Ulis, Fox and Kyrie and I simply said those guys are the outliers, there are thousands of guys thst size that never succeeded.
Just because Fox and Ulis were tough as nails, doesn’t mean everyone else is.
Well, I called a spade a spade, deal with it.
And how the hell am I ignorant because I have doubts? Are you kidding me? Everything Cal touches these days, turns to dust. The guy would rather lose than admit he was wrong, it's a complete **** show. So if you're going to be blind to the whole situation and buy into this "wait til next year" crap, then YOU are the one that is
Again, your lack of intelligence has somehow twisted what I've been saying into me supporting Cal? Not sure how you derived that from anything I have said? We actually do agree on that, I've been ready for that Clown to be gone for at least 3 years. He is pathetic and no, I have no hope things will be better, regardless of who we have coming in. Not sure what your problem is, but you seem to be really tough sitting behind a keyboardWell, I called a spade a spade, deal with it.

those guys were top recruits just like Dillingham isNot sure what you're getting at. They just said on the mcds game that he’s a bucket so what is it? He can shoot or he can’t? I’ve read he is a quality shooter.I don't get the Nowell or Ulis comps or comments. Nowell is a very experienced 23 years old and very strong for his size. Weight doesn't tell you everything. And Ulis was as much of a unicorn as AD was for thin bigs. He had elite understanding of the game, was tough, and shot very well.
Dillingham has all the profile elements that we see not working at a high level....numerous schools, advisors, will want to show out in his one year, thin, questionable shooting ability.
He is streaky. They just said on the mcds game that he’s a bucket so what is it? He can shoot or he can’t? I’ve read he is a quality shooter.
Lulz, mommy's basement? Where did you get that one from? That's never been used on here before.Again, your lack of intelligence has somehow twisted what I've been saying into me supporting Cal? Well, we'll see. I have no faith in Cal to use him correctly.those guys were top recruits just like Dillingham is
there is a lot of players 10-20 pounds heavier that never succeed
How about Dilly Dilly? Can we kill the stupid nickname Dilly?
Maybe I’m just higher than Rob Dillingham than everyone else, but I think he’s immensely more talented than Kennedy Chandler.Reminds me of a Kennedy Chandler from a couple seasons ago.
I agreeIf Cal doesn't figure out a way to spread the court, I don't care who we have in the backcourt, we won't have success getting to the rim.
