How long are we going to ignore one of the major players in this mess? We let a member of AD (fake job, made up for a Frost dingleberry) keep his radio position. This is the same clown that belly ached and complained on the air the whole time the last regime was here (the same regime that has a way better record than him and ginger Jesus). His favorite saying used to be “Saturdays matter” but he hasn’t uttered that in a couple years. I don’t see how he isn’t shown the door with FLLLLLLLLLost. Maybe if anyone reported that him, Frost, and Jon Bruning all knew about the Mo Washington accusations before he ever stepped foot on campus…. He would have been gone years ago. But alas, the media and fanbase ran interference for the frat pack

He damn well better be, and honestly they shouldn’t allow him within 50 miles of the stadium or program. He’s a liar, and a weasel. The guy will say anything to protect his phony job

Matt Davison is in his fifth season on the Nebraska staff. He is the Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Engagement after previously serving as the Associate Athletic Director for Football. A former Husker football and basketball player, Davison was a teammate of Scott Frost.

Anyone who knows Matt knows good and well how big of a sleaze bag he is.

Aside from that, at what other major program is a guy with his (lack of) professional background qualified to become a senior associate athletic director?

not really. He was used as the go to guy to hire Frost as he had direct line of communication ability with him. Then in return he was offered a job he was clearly not qualifed for.

I don't really blame Matt for taking a made up gig that probably pays him 150K a year to not work. I would take it too.

Well I don't feel any particular liking for Matt but honestly I think he has very little to do with the horrible on field performance. It's on Frost, not Matt. You could fire Matt all you want and it wouldn't change anything.

Deal. He does absolutely nothing, in a made up position. If the reason for not firing Scott was really to save money, he would already be gone.

Been a sweet gig for 4+ years though.

If I were Trev, I'd have had him buried in producing reports and staying his *** in the Athletic Department like all the other (except Trev) employees.

Then I would give him the knockout punch, the one thing all managers hate:
Filling out a itinerary before the week starts.

Randomly calling him on his cell phone, just so he knows, I know.

Matt doesn't bother me, but when Trev gets ready to move Frost along, his cohort will be treated like the other employees with no special treatment.

I can't believe anyone would think Matt has been on nothing but Easy Street for long enough.

I don't have a problem with davison..he did'nt call a onside kick up by 11 points..

Matt is small potatoes and just a distraction. He'll be gone as well so no use spending any energy on him. Frost was responsible the results on the filed - period. Now that Frost is history, the most important thing is to be focused on getting the best next head coach.

No one is concerned about Matt going any further, why bother what he‘s doing in the future Trev will wash him away..
