Trey, Grant, and Allen (prior to injury) have been as good as advertised, but man does that list come to a screeching halt after those 3.
Mathis often sees doubles or added chips due to our weak rush from several of our DL. He looks size wise like he needs to be playing linebacker. I don’t know what he’s listed at but damn he looks small for a DE
If you choose Nebraska under this current leadership you don’t care about winning. You care about NIL and being a playmaker and getting the ball. Until a coach comes in and wants winners instead of selling “brand” or exposure the results on the field won’t change.
I agree some teams may have keyed in on him more to neutralize the threat. Also makes me question the Big12 OL play vs. B1G. I don’t think he magically got worse in the offseason. I think the competition might be a notch up.
Mathis has gotten close a number of times but needs to show more aggressiveness to finish plays. I feel like his effort drops from 100% to 85% after the first 3 seconds. I wanna see his motor churn until the whistle.
Ever since you joined this board in 2001 we haven’t won a championship. Why don’t you leave so we can get back to winning championships. You have brought nothing but bad luck
3 months after you joined the world went to crap.
Our early defensive scheme that just conceded quick short dump off passes didn’t help Mathis. Now all of the injuries to our backers and having to play guys who struggle in coverage really doesn’t give Mathis any time to get home. Our defense has too many deficiencies.
We won a couple of north division titles champ. I don’t think scarletred is the issue.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that once he joined we didn’t play for a national championship. If he cares about husker football he will leave the board.
Totally agree we have given up way too easy short game passes over the season with some experienced QBs to take advantage and leave our pass rushers neutralized.
But even with that, some QBs have also sat back there a long time on occasion.
Assuming Heinrich is gonzo for tbe season, Busch is going to have to figure something out. Roll with Tannor, Reimer and Kolarevic at the LB psns?4-2-5 the rest of the way. Or 3-3-5!
Punter has been average at best when I think all American punter I want to see the return guys having to turn around and run the other direction to catch up with the punt sailing over their head

You are more suited for the open board. The husker board you are average at best.
Why not move Mathis to LB? He’s faster than Henrich and seems to tackle in space better..

Guessing you were born/hatched about 2002, still have ache problem that is making it difficult for you to date anything but mutants, along with still living with your parents and cleaning toilets at McDonald’s ..which in turn gives you big man behind the screen complex!
