Let's not look at the fact that there was a coordinated effort to set up a fake Twitter account that had influence for 4 solid years. Let's instead deflect attention to the fact that Robertson drove to Fulton to try and out the lie.

The irony of it all sure isn't lost on me: An account that epitomizes the typical OM fan turns out to be an utter sham.

What I really don't understand is the psyche of an individual who feels the need to carry on a charade for so long. Just how screwed up do you have to be to steal photos of a young girl and her sister to pass off as yourself as you tweet to recruits and coaches and fans about your love for OM?

Don't let the defense lawyers try to redirect the argument to how it was discovered. The fact that it existed in the first place and that they latched onto it should tell you all you need to know about their fan base.

Delusional

Like I said earlier, whoever did this is a pathetic loser. With that said, am I not supposed to laugh at Rosebowl? Why? Wasn't this board founded on laughing at Rosebowl? Am I supposed to be all upset that someone on Twitter wasn't truthful? I have more important things to do, like laughing at Rosebowl, which I think is the most appropriate reaction to this "story." If that's deflection, so be it.

The problem, is your laughing at Rosebowl for doing something that makes you and your fan base look like fools. It just isn't very authentic in this case.

Like I told you earlier, the main rub is Freeze followed her/it/he apparently. He has 90K followers and only follows 150 with one being this account.

I give Rosebowl and his "story" four yawns. He must be really bored to have spent any time on this bilge. If there's anything of substance, get on it and bring it up. Otherwise, this is just vintage Rosebowl. GUFFAW!!

Oh, I'm authentically laughing, I promise you. The problem is y'all want us to be all upset and wringing our hands, but nobody's upset or worried that a loser on Twitter did something pathetic. Instead it's funny. It only makes us look like fools to those of you who are looking for any reason to say we look like fools. Rational fans understand the actions of one loser can't be attributed to an entire fanbase. Like when C34 or one of his minions says something dumb, I understand he doesn't represent the entire MSU fanbase. I'm sorry I'm not reacting in the way you think I should be reacting.

Agreed, Rosebowl wasn't hyperbolic with his story. He basically just documented

the process of dealing with someone he found to be a pain in the ***. He decided to do something about it and guess what, it worked. I think his success is driving them crazier than anything, along with his measured tone.

Rosie hasn't won many but he won this one. Not saying it is a big deal but he did handle it pretty well and the Ole Miss people I've discussed it with have admitted it is pretty embarrassing. I just glad a State person didn't do it because it is sick.

I hate taking up for an OM fan damn it. But it is funny on both the twitter/freeze/OM front and on Rosebowl. I take anyone at their word when laughing at his story and activities to get info for it.

I think they are separate issues and agree it is curious that few of the resident OM fans will state clearly that it is bizarre Freeze follows very few people compared to his followers and one is the fake account. Freeze interacting with the account is the oddity but they don't address how that looks.

The best part to me is the podcasts and radio spots. Going that far is amazing in a lot of ways. I just wish that DS and HD6 had her in TIOS. I would never let them hear the end of it.

I get that, but it's ok with me if my coach doesn't personally ID everyone he follows. He's following somebody on Twitter, not performing a background check for a firearms sale.

I think all of this social media stuff like twitter, Facebook, and the rest is trash anyway. I understand that we're anonymous here, but at least the Mods have some control.

If you follow 150 people and most are Coaches and media types - and then a random Ole Miss fan - it makes you wonder.

I will say - if an OM coach was behind this, it was probably Andy Kennedy. He successfully distracted everyone from the most impressive bed-shitting of his illustrious career of epic bed-shittings. Well played, Andy Kennedy.

It's extremely

likely that the clown behind this is someone that is a regular on nafoom, that's probably well liked on there.

Someone on Twitter wasn't truthful? You had a grown *** man go out and search out a young girl to steal her likeness, a grown *** man basically flirted with male recruits with said likeness, and a grown *** man tried to use attraction to convince underage recruits to go to UM. Yea... He just wasn't truithful. Oh but Rosebowl is the biggest loser in the story. Ok

No, it doesn't make me wonder. I think it's a pretty open and shut case that Freeze at the very least was supporting the catfish. I don't think anything will come of it though.

This story is a prime example of why I have come to despise the year-round obsession with recruiting no matter what school it is. It has led to some pretty rediculous and sometimes unsettling **** going on.

Yeah Kurt, I'm crushed. I explained how the conclusion you reached is illogical, since the guy everyone's blaming was laughed off of Nafoom, and oh, just happens to have his own website. Great response though. You really explained your position well, as you so often do.

There is at least one MSU fan on Twitter trying to pretend to be an Ole Miss fan. He uses racist symbols and talk in trying to respond to recruits in hopes it'll make us look bad.

Is he representative of your entire fan base? Or should we consider him an outlier?

Is it not possible for us to be entertained unless the NCAA gets involved?

Bot the AP catfish person and the rosebowl investigative journalism are worth laughing at. Anyone holding their breath for NCAA sanctions needs to get a grip.

Call me when the NCAA stops by Oxford with inquiries over a fake Twitter account.

So

it's illogical to think that a nutjob that is OM 24/7 and highly involved w social media, could post on nafoom. Ok.

I would consider him an idiot. My point is Steve took issue with the person and

did something about it. He did mankind a good service. I would say the same thing if this fool you are referring too was shutdown too.

From what I heard, Steve was called out by who everyone assumed ran the account - Make It Rain Sports when he was tweeting at "the girl".

Yeah, I don't think people are connecting that this deal was personal for him.

Anal lesa supposedly drug him through the mud and tried to get him fired from what I read so him kicking her *** is fine with me and this whole thing isn't much more than that in my mind although I do believe the fool thought she/he was serving Ole Miss well in recruiting and obviously some other Ole Miss fans shared that belief*.
