Great time for RU BB to be window shopping. And more players will be available soon in the portal.

These types of players are worth far more than hs recruits going forward imo.

I like this kid. But didn't his family move to Texas? His brother was an RU football commit and ended up at Houston after transferring to Texas for his senior year of high school. Is Houston a possibility?

I doubt we go after him but you never know. He didn't want us the first time. I don't think he has set the world afire so far.

Yup. Pikiell likes guys who want to be at Rutgers. He'll take a guy like JY who he didn't recruit out of high school but it's tough for me to see him going after a guy who specifically picked another school/coach over him already.

It's time to start being more picky about the scholarships we give out. A few players that could help us in the portal- aren't even realistic bc the scholarship crunch

Guess we have to see who is coming back for next season.
Definitely a strange waiting game that programs are in right now. I saw a segment on the news last night showing the impact on HS recruits. Spots that they normally would fill may not be open after all.

RU hasn't been picky, they just haven't needed anything beyond Yeboah in the last 2 years and offered multiple combo guards as well. This year, RU is in a better spot with more options and is now a winning program 2 years in a row....different ball game, we don't necessarily need Massoud, we should have options.

I speaking talent wise. Great character is important, but we've signed a few players who don't belong on a B10 floor. The point guard we took this year should be going to Rider or La Salle. We need to be careful. Bc it eaiser to fall, then climb

we have been very picky for most of Pikiell’s era. It’s been a highlight.

Ehhh depending on who returns. Pike could give a guy like douc the axe to open a spot. He got his degree so there's no hard feelings if he pulls the school for next year.

geo, Caleb and Ron probably should have ended up at rider or la salle as well. That worked out for us. Getting 4*/5* guys is going to take time. One ncaa appearance won’t do it

I hear you. We'll be finding out soon. What can I expect. He's about 5'11 -- is he athletic enough to go by big 10 guards? Is he a shooter? Ball handling looks average, nothing special. At that size with no special skills, what exactly is he gonna do for us in conference play?
