I realize this is numbers based.....but having watched almost that entire top 25 play I actually agree with almost everything except Gonzaga at #8 is a total joke and Nova is a really really good team but they haven't played anybody and have inflated numbers.

Not sure I agree with UL at #9. I know they are undefeated and have some lopsided scores but have played absolutely no one. We'll know more about how real they are come Wednesday night though.

Because we beat Albany and Wright State by just 13 and 15 points respectively. The top team in the country is expected to beat those 2 teams by 20 or more at home.

Really, we are only 6 games into a season. One or two poor/extraordinary performances can have a huge influence on ratings. As the season progresses, they'll be diluted by an increase in sample size.

Sorry Nova is a top 10 team no more , no less. Teams like UK , Iowa St , KU would smash Nova . Nova has had one true top 5 team in the last 30 years and it was about 10 years ago ( I can't remember the exact year but they had like 3 future NBA guards at the time.

I'm confident we will be better after we play more games, but there's no factor in sports algorithms for potential. If a team is beating the same teams we've played by more than we did, they're probably better right now.
