Very cryptic tweet from Politi “There’s a lot going on”. My guess is that there are more players that have decided to sit out and redshirt. Again this is pure speculation but something is amiss.

I think what may happen is some players will go into the transfer portal and ask for immediate eligibility based on the coaching change.
No offense to these players, but are there any beyond Pacheco, Blackshear and Fogg we would really struggle to replace?
Perhaps Hobbs didn’t think this through completely. Maybe should have waited a week. If there really is a mass transfer portal situation then seriously just forfeit the season.
We don’t know what we have because of our coaching situation. Also it may change our redshirt plans at a couple of positions.
He was tweeting about writing articles on baseball and hockey with hours of each other. He covers a lot of sports. That's it.

I'm sure that wouldn't have any negative recruiting consequences at all.....
if i were coach, i would and tell em to pound sand for not holding up their end of the bargain, that way they have to prove themselves to get it back.. till then... no weight room, medical, room/board, meals, books, tuition costs, etc
then we'll see how fast they either play or go

Never been the biggest Schiano fan but Jesus...announce him and hopefully stop the bleeding...this could get even uglier very fast
they need to hire a coach right away.. Those who red shirt now are showing their true colors quitting the team. Hobbs knew what he was doing before firing Ash. he needed to find a coach right away. The team will be a total dumpster fire before anyone is hired. recruiting
So they red-shirt this year then run the risk of having to sit out next year too if they transfer to a FBS school unless granted a waiver. Isn't that taking a big chance?
Why, to save the huge amount of talent we have in the program?
I’d trade the entire roster leaving at the end of this year for a guarantee that the coach we hire is the right choice.
Fast just means we limiting our options.
While I don’t disagree with firing ***, there seems to be some proof that a bunch isn’t thought through, including his tweet last year supporting Ash. Hopefully there is some oversight of him in this whole process
They have no self respect and don't deserve your support if they don't. Pull access to facilities, bill for tuition. They quit.
The B1G needs to put this football program in Recievership(?). Take it over and run it for Rutgers. We're an embarrassment.
So the program is letting these kids walk all over them? They quit but still have access to the program. Blackshear better be coming back then.
