House money!Look out Huskies. lol.
And they continued to look good later on! Way to go, Heels!! So excited that we made the Sweet 16! So proud of our young women!Aarnisalo and Grant looking good early on
She has done that way too many times during her career here. As soon as the Maryland player started up court after the steal, I was yelling "don't do it, Indya", because I could see it coming.nivar’s second was a Illl-advised transition foul retaliating for an ill advised turnover
As it appears it's the same situation which occurred with McPherson, her physical ability from knee surgery is not progressing as they had hoped. Have to admit that I was excited to see McPherson when she was able to play, and exciting player who enjoyed the game. Could be wrong as stated before, and hope that I am, but it will surprise me if she returns to the game she loves. No public information on her injury. All we know is that she had an arthroscopic cleanup of her knee in the off-season and had to manage her activity load through the fall. But nothing I know of reported after she had to sit again.
McPherson’s injury and complications much more severe. KM has had 5 surgeries related to ACL tears and cartilage loss. Kelly had arthroscopic surgery once.As it appears it's the same situation which occurred with McPherson, her physical ability from knee surgery is not progressing as they had hoped. Intense defensive pressure wears offensive players down and they lose focus. The Terps shooting woes wasn’t happenstance. They were rushing shots or just losing concentration and trying to draw fouls because of the really good defense we were playing as has been the case most of the season. Tired legs and lack of mental focus will impact FT shooting.93 percent FT shooter just missed two for the Terps.
I have not watched UConn, but I assume we’re gonna have to make a bunch of threes. We did play them a couple years ago in Greensboro and I thought we gave them an OK effort but there are definitely tiers in the women’s game and they are at the topMan, we always seem to be in UCONN's bracket when it comes to the NCAAT time. I do not know why Toomey's minutes went down today. I ladies that were in was playing really well and the rhythm was flowing so good that CB did not want to mess things up by taking one of them out. I think matchups and who we are playing is going to dictate who will play a lot of minutes and who won't. I think Toomey will play a good number of minutes against UCONN, I hope. Also, this is one and done time so coaches will have to play players who they think will give them the best chance of winning.
In this game CB saw correctly that we could drive on them and they don’t slide over to help that much. So she took Toomey out for a bunch of the game and also moved Harris further out to set screens to free up drivers. Great coaching.Man, we always seem to be in UCONN's bracket when it comes to the NCAAT time. I do not know why Toomey's minutes went down today. if Hatchell is being integrated back, i hope it is because she's worked on herself and not out of some sense of obligation on UNC's part.I was glad to see Coach Hatchell and Charlotte Smith there. I assume there were some hard feelings at the end of Hatchell’s tenure and I hope she’s been integrated back into the program.
This was last year. We lost 69-58. We got down by 11 in the first quarter and then matched them point for point the rest of the way. Bueckers had 29 points, Strong had 14. Fudd did not play. Indy had 15, Reyina had 9... then Lexi had 5 and Alyssa had 3. Toomey had 10.I have not watched UConn, but I assume we’re gonna have to make a bunch of threes. Thank you for the refresh. I should’ve googled. It was a fun atmosphere. I was there and now I’m having this vague memory that the starters weren’t doing well so Coach put in a bunch of the youth and stayed with them. This was last year. We lost 69-58.
