Really liked what I saw from this Frosh. I thought this year he could definitely get some snaps as he is a grown *** man. Looked pretty decent in the reps he got. Won't go down easily and showed a little wiggle for a big man. I like the stable of backs we have right now. Young, but seem to be doing alright. Would like to see Thompkins and maybe get rahmir in there on some jet sweep action.

I think NU has the personnel to run a few more plays like Wisconsin did with jet sweeps when they had Melvin G on the jet and their other backs up the gut.

It's too bad the freshmen didn't get spring ball or summer 7 on 7s. IMO, we've got a couple of guys who might be difference makers if we had even just had a normal fall camp. Just think what those guys might be doing IF we had a normal fall camp and a couple of tune up games before conference play.

Especially in the WR core.

Agreed, was surprised they kept calling Wandale's number for so many runs up the middle.

I suspect they were concerned with ball security from someone with little in-game experience. Not sure I agree there. Gotta give the kid his reps.

Likely you are correct but it doesn't show much confidence Ramir or Tompkins ( as well as Scott )

Doubt they were expecting Mills to be a no-go for much of the game (btw, any details on the status of his injury?). Frost went with a known quantity in order to get a W.

Did he finish the game healthy? It was really odd how many carries Robinson had between the tackles in the second half if he was available.

Scott looks like a damn man out there as a frosh. I'm definitely excited about our backs for the next few years. Just need experience.

I'm just re-watching the game on B!G network. Scott looked like a back we haven't had for a long time in that last drive for a field goal at the end of the first half. Great power with some wiggle and speed. I agree that he's going to be a good one.

He reminds me of Imani Cross or Ozigbo during his freshman year.

This. Wandale offered ball security with the ability of getting a home run. He almost broke lose for a touchdown whenever the Penn State defender brought him down by his face mask. I’m not a fan of giving the ball that many times (wear and tear) but that’s what the situation called for on Saturday.
