I am hoping that an announcement of the hiring of a new HC will slow transfers down. If it's a good hire. And I don't see it being a bad one.

I don't get these guys. Do they not have one ounce of loyalty to OU? It didn't take much for a ton of them to just jump ship
Nil has turned CFB upside down. It started with OU. This is just the beginning. We ain't seen nothin yet.

I heard (can't remember where) that Mims had been considering the portal since mid-season. Maybe about the time his Dad was being critical of LR. Can't blame any of the players for considering a transfer. We've talked for years about how a coach can have a 10 year contract in place and walk away tomorrow to another job. But, the players are locked in to the year-to-year scholarships they got with their LOI signing. I hate to see any of them go, but I don't blame any of them. Entering the portal (without making a move) allows the players to be re-recruited by the new coach. If it works out, they unpack their suitcase. If it doesn't, they find a new home.

Marvin’s Father was pretty miffed that he was not getting the ball. But those joker’s are gone now that keep him low on passes. The thinning of herd should get Marvin where he needs to be. This provided Caleb stays and hones his game. It needs lots of polish. Marvin and Mario can rock the field once that happens.

Mims had 4 catches in the last 3 games, he was/is one of our most explosive players. One could say Riley didnt use as much cause he knew that if Mims touches the ball there is a good chance OU wins. Watching the OSU game when they showed the endzone cam you could see Mims 40 yards down field in the endzone. Riley sent him on the go route most of the night.

yes, nil and the portal have fundamentally changed the game. ethical standards are part of it. loyalty is to oneself, not to the program. that goes for both coaches and players now. welcome to professionalism.

i must say though, for ou fan to drop the jump ship/secrecy/loyalty card is a bit rich.
