Anyone else catch Adrian slip up and say his arm is better? There was some speculating that his arm was hurt early in the year but it kinda disappeared.

Turns out there was probably something to that. Suddenly the mysterious accuracy problems make a lot more sense.

I don't like the big veil of secrecy on injuries for exactly this reason. Kid is hurt and instead of us knowing he's throwing badly because he's hurt, we think he's throwing badly because the coaching is failing him, he can't handle the pressure of being "the guy," some kind of personal failing of either the kid or his coaches.

Why cost people credibility trying to act like a hurt kid isn't hurt?

They kinda confirmed it without confirming it on Severe & Benning.

makes sense. I didn’t think Adrain Martinez would just magically go to crap after his break out true freshman year. I’ll admit, I dislike the way Frost and this staff keeps injuries all hush hush like. I prefer the way Riley handled the injuries and had no bones tell us what’s up and how the players where progressing.

Wasn't his injury in high school that sidelined him for his senior year a shoulder injury? Could it have been a reaggravation of that injury possibly?

Hmmm that makes sense. I speculated a groin injury he was hiding a couple weeks go due to his running not being all that explosive either. But I guess a shoulder injury will have you not wanting to make hits running or block for a ball carrier as well.

It sure could. I don't know if it's that, but sounds like whatever it is, it was there already in Game 1.

If that shoulder needs to be cut open again that sure would be a reason he isn't chucking it 50 yards down the field or feeling generally confident about throwing and being hit.

This will be devastating news to some on this board that have been ready to ride AM out of a rail.

this is exactly why I never gave up on him. I had a feeling it had to be something to his struggles. Again, I couldn’t see his freshman performance and then suddenly he just falls apart and is crap? Yeah no thanks, I don’t see it.

If his arm is better and we win huge tomorrow I'll believe it was an injury to the arm. I'd be more pissed at Frost playing someone they shouldn't then.

Who cares what we think? Two reasons you don't release injury information....it is personal, and it effects how the other team prepares. Injuries can be caused by a variety of reasons. Some in game, some not. The only information the fan needs is what their eyes tell them on Saturday. If our fans weren't such little children they could deal with it but....

I wouldn’t say there was speculation earlier in the year about “his arm” but there was speculation that he was “hurt” or “something was off.” Yeah, I too caught that on Severe and Benning. Can’t wait to see him finally healthy. But, with his knee and all, we may have to wait until next year for him to be 100%.

Yes, that speculating at the first of year was terrible. It's OK now though. :)

I think arm strength is one of the hardest things to gauge. Especially on TV.

so is your only purpose on this board to tell the rest of us how to be fans? I see no other purpose in your posts.

it's not devastating to me, but I expect nothing but the same W/L ratio as before from him, so if he is the man for another 2 years, you all have to hear me ***** about it.

Hell will freeze over. Next thing you’ll tell me is that Nikki will come on here and say AM is a true leader of men.

We are 8-9 with him and 0-3 without. Seems we have a much better chance to win with him.

I would hope that this was true. It would explain so much.
I've been saying it since the start of the season. It was pretty clear that he wasn't the same throwing the ball. I thought maybe it was a lingering knee thing that was messing with his mechanics. It was pretty clear though that he was trying to avoid contact when he ran.
